K1 has sucked in one game in his career...playoff game against the Rams. He has been good despite some injuries...he has needed better coaching and a better roster. k1 has elite skills and is short. Short as brought out on other threads is better than too tall. 2024 is projecting to be great as a Card fan. No he has flat out sucked in other games and I used to be one of his defenders. He has cost us games with bad decisions at crucial times and those decisions were a result of his failure to read a defense and being prepared. He played at OU in a soft system against weak defenses. Lincoln Riley's offense is designed to get a receiver wide open and in the Big 12, they don't play defense. When he went to the NFL, he didn't have that luxury.
But to be fair, he has also won us games on pure athleticism and compensating for a weak offensive line and a lack of a running game. So it goes both ways. If you gave Kyler an inside running, a lot of his problems would be fixed. But when you can't run inside and you are constantly in third an long situations, you are going to struggle as a QB.
The Cardinals front office hasn't done Kyler any favors. I mean how does Steve Keim pass on his favorite target in college Ceedee Lamb for Isaiah Simmons. Most of us were calling for Lamb on this forum. It was a no brainer. And to be honest, they still didn't really improve the interior of the offensive line. We are still not going to be able to run effectively inside.
Well this year should be a good indicator if they need to keep Murray or move on then. No excuses, outside of injuries. They have a legit WR1, not going to be in shotgun all the time, they finished the season with a legit running game. So if they can continue having a good running game, then Murray should show that he is the franchise QB the Cards drafted him to be. But the first year with the Cardinals that they finally had a legit WR1, 2020 with Hopkins played a full season, KM had his best year. Threw for almost 4000 yards, tossed 26 TDs and had a 96 rating. The following year KM had another very good year, but Hopkins went down and they lost in the playoffs. So hopefully KM will get back to form with MHJ as the legit WR1.

Fans,
Enough of this 'Hope' strategy year after year. The word means, an optimistic state of mind. That word is so kind.
For the banner guy: Try, "This home we defend."
If I was a QB in the huddle, I'd say, "Do your best or get the hell out of my huddle." That's what I'd say to the Offense at TC, PS, and 17 RS games.
KM won't suck in '24.

He's going to have a very good year.I wasnt sure for the longest time which direction he is going to go in. It was not entirely the coaching/ GM either. It was Kyler. But he was young and the knee injury I suspect was a blessing in disguise. He was removed from what he's done all his life. He was criticized. He was marginalized. All this was good. He wants the spotlight. I see him at big UFC events and craving that spotlight. He wants to be in that big time athlete universe. Not saying he's going to be there. But now he has motivation. Expect a big year. I'm actually excited about him and the team. Like others have mentioned we got legit coaching/GM now. Looking at the work Kyler is puting in the changes made and the coaching, I think it could be a very decent season as well.

Just saying Murray has a ton of stuff to prove he's the man the Cards go with . Man I hope so because we fans need this . Can we catch a break ? Lets hope this year is not another lets run the crap out of the ball because he cant see past the line. This should be the real tale if Murrays the man or not . We have to much talent and the QB position could be the deal breaker.

Fresh article this morning at the 33rd team website titled - "Cardinals will finally unlock Kyler's full potential in 2024" Unlock Kyler Murray's potential in 2024
NOTE: The last 2 years intermediate route stats mentioned in article when compared to 2021 shows how much 5'9" receivers are hard to find on intermediate routes for a short QB. These stats were much better when DHop was running routes for the Cards and DHop got a LOT of targets in those early years with the Cards. Look for MHJ and Michael Wilson to get a LOT of intermediate to over 30 yd throws this year.
