My thoughts on Mr. Barron... Pros: He plays for a top US team in the SEC...he's battle tested; he flourishes in zone coverage...he owns WRs wandering onto his turf; his body mass to height ratio is similar to a familiar Safety -- Budda Baker! Cons: 5'11" and avg CB 40yd speed...elite NFL WRs will out-leap or run past him. Might Barron be interested in switching to Safety if offered the job?

Cons: 5'11" and avg CB 40yd speed...elite NFL WRs will out-leap or run past him. Might Barron be interested in switching to Safety if offered the job? He's got the attributes that Gannon loves, and he ticks many of the boxes required to be judged a worthy Arizona player ('the price of admission'). Barron has sky-high self confidence and belief in his own talents, which to my mind means an awful lot when lining up at outside Cornerback. Oppositions feast on hesitation and self-doubt and there is no other position where weakness is exposed. Consequently, with each draft cycle talented college prospects, who are highly rated and taken in the first round are often sunk PDQ in the NFL. They have the greatest 'bust potential' of all. If Jahdae was a couple of inches taller and a tad quicker then he would be Pick #1 material. On the upside he can play right across the DB's and we know versatility is a trademark much appreciated by our HC. If he keeps performing great, then expect his draft stock status to head upwards. - I like him.
