We picked up a few last year. I wonder if we get any of these guys...

Interesting. None of those three CB’s is in the top 25 and they may not even get drafted, especially Williams. DB’s a Gannon’s thing and maybe he thinks he can find late gems?
As for the WR’s, Worthy and Cowing are shorter, 165 lb fast guys. Cowing is only 5’-8” and played at Arizona. Worthy set a record for speed with a ridiculous 4.21 40. Rice is obviously the other HOF WR son in this draft who less talk about. Also an AZ native. 6’-2” guy and rumors of some immaturity.
I have no doubt we will be drafting a 6’-3”ish WR1 in the first round, but this suggests we will be looking at a second WR pick maybe in the 2nd (Worthy) or 4th (Rice or Cowing).

I hate that some of these guys will see their dreams melt away in 35 days, or soon after the UDFA's get a call. Some guys won't get a call. Years of hard work dreams will disappear like a whispy cloud. They might need help the next day.

I would say the Cardinals doing a trade down to just #6 with the Giants for their #47 2nd rounder for JJ McCarthy ... still gets the Cardinals MHJ. Nabers is an explosive athlete and perfect for a tall, strong - armed QB like Justin Herbert. MHJ not running a 40 dash neither at combine or Pro Day has started slightly moving his draft stock down. I give it 75% odds the Chargers chooses either Nabers or Alt prior to taking MHJ at #5.
KM1 was a MVP candidate for two seasons (if we count only the first 9 games of the season) when he had a 6'4" receiver so either MHJ/Odunze/Thomas Jr./Mitchell must be the Cards pick in 1st round whether they stay at #4, trade down with Giants or Vikes.

Do we think the Cardinals are seriously contemplating Nabers? - Bringing him in on a Top-30 Visit might suggest that we are. He is such a good mover and I thought 'excellent on the eye' when watching his tape previously. Nabers has certainly got lots of ability and I'm not so sure that his height will be a 'deal breaker'. You could be right on this QC, but I don't think we should be dismissing the possibility. He could yet be in Cardinal Red next season.

I think the Cards braintrust want a tall WR as their #1 whereas I could see the Chargers with a 6'5" QB having Nabers above MHJ/Odunze on their board. So trading with the Giants could get Monti and extra 2nd and 5th rounder but still get MHJ. IMO it is smart for Monti/JG to throw some head-fakes on whom their #1 WR is.

We should be looking hard at the top 3 WR’s and then the rest in the later rounds. We need at least two WR picks. Whats more interesting to me is the Patriots being one of his visits. Only way they nab Nabers is by not going QB at #3 or trading down to Giants #6.

Good. Find the right guy for US and see if MHJ is truly in his own tier.

JV podcast discussed this last night and speculated Monti might might have a deal with the Vikings for a trade down (for a minimum of #11-#23-2025 1st rounder) then (just like last year what Monti did to get PJJ) move backup with the Falcons to #8 and get Odunze and giving up one of the 2024 3rd rounders. In a lot of mocks, the Bears at #9 are eye-balling Odunze there. This roundtrip maneuver gets the Cardinals Odunze rather than MHJ; however the Cardinals pickup an EXTRA 2024 1st rounder #23 AND a 2025 1st rounder while giving up only maybe pick #71.

Or that odunze would be there at number 8. The draft is going to be exciting this year and I wish it would hurry up and get here LOL
