Patrick Peterson was a guest on NFL Network today. He says he wants to play one more year. Any interest in the Cardinals offering him a one-year contract for little money?

No. Been there, done that. But I don't decide...

NO! If he wasn’t a spoiled and entitled person, I’d say maybe. But, he doesn’t tackle and CB in our system needs to tackle. Plus, he ruined it for me the way he left. I’m not even putting him in the ring of honor even though as a player he deserves it.

No Thx. The last time I saw him play was when Connor tossed him into the bleachers. I prefer it that way.

He dissed the organization publicly & he took PEDS. I’d rather have a CB from the supplemental draft.

Poison, he would erase all team first process in 3 days. He may have a hard time getting another pay day.

No. Nothing worse than a washed up narcissist.

I don't think either Monti or Gannon would even entertain the idea.

I don't share the same hate for PP as many of you do. He was a cornerstone for this organization for years and his criticisms at the time were on point. He wanted to win and was critical of Steve Keim and the direction of the front office. He wanted a trade because he wanted to win. He cared about this organization and wanted to win here.
I see it as a problem when good players do NOT speak up. I'm glad he did. Those of you criticizing PP don't understand him at all. The guy loved AZ and the Cardinals. He dealt with a lot of bad years when he was arguably the best corner in the NFL for a long time. A lot of players don't care about winning but he did. He wanted to help take this organization to the next level. I'm never going to fault the guy for that.
Looking back, can any of you argue that PP was not right? His criticisms of the front office were on point. That's ultimately what led to his departure. Can you blame the guy?
To answer the question, no I would not sign him. He is well past his prime. We are a rebuilding team and don't have use for someone like PP. A team that should sign him is a veteran team like KC, SF or Dallas.

You don’t criticize publicly like he did. You don’t use drugs when you start to slip. You don’t show up to training camp in a helicopter like a celebrity. This is all my opinion, and affected how I thought of Pat P. I loved Peterson when we picked him. I think it was on the old board where I made a post about coming up with a nickname for him, and called him BlackJack cuz of his number and the fact that he won every time. But after the suspension, a combination of variables made me want to trade him. One was the stuff up above. More important was he was slipping talent wise and his contract was getting too big for his ability, but his ego and head wouldn’t allow him to admit it. We should have traded him the moment he came off suspension, because our season was lost and it was clear he was going to walk for money after his contract was up.

Keim's draft record alone gives PP's disenchantment credibility. Also generally speaking, in my opinion it never ceases to amaze me how fans can turn on a credible player when they become unhappy with leadership. Anquan Boldin comes to mind. That guy loved this team, even heard on video declaring that he wanted to get his ring here (before the Cardinals even actually made it to the SB). I'm glad he got his ring any way.
