The athletic has Nabers pretty close to Marvin. How true do you think this is? Cardinals cannot miss with this pick. They have enough draft capital, I dont agree with trading down to get more. I also like Joe Alt a lot. Should the opportunity present then why not Trade Down with the Giants #6? With three QB's and Harrison gone in the top four, then either Nabers or Alt MUST be available (perhaps even both). - An additional high second round pick (suggested compensation) would be extremely useful and it should bag us another top player. - If you want Joe Alt above anything then fair enough, stick and pick #4. If MHJ is gone, then a trade down is almost mandatory. Trade down to Giants (#6), Falcons (#8) still guarantees either one of the 2 top OT's (Alt/Fashanu) or one of the 2 top WR's left (Nabers/Odunze). IMO trade downs into the #11 - #13 area for a QB-needy team (i.e. Vikes, Broncos, Raiders in that order) then IMO requires getting picks and an established player at a need position. Trade with Broncos would be enticing if Patrick Surtain is part of the package which seems plausible since Surtain has been involved in trade rumors for the last 6-8 mos. Could a trade with the Raiders involving #4 and Budda, bring back several picks and Edge Maxx Crosby who had a 92 grade from PFF with 15 sacks in 2023 ? FWIW: Daniel Jeremiah's top 50 has ELEVEN WR's and ELEVEN Tackles so the biggest areas of need for the Cardinals are this drafts strongest position groups. WF updated their scouting profiles today on a couple players who probably will be available at #35 - Darius Robinson DL/Edge Profile Comparison = Cameron JordanCam Hart - Tall CB (Notre Dame) Scouting Report

Regarding Byron Murphy II at Texas, I pulled this positive summary from TheBleacherReport.com on 2/16: Quote: "After serving as a backup during his first two years at Texas, Byron Murphy II is a big riser in this year's NFL draft class. He played up and down the Longhorns' defensive line, lining up as far inside as a nose tackle to taking a few reps on the edge at defensive end. He also has a lot of potential against the run and as a pass-rusher." If you look at Murphy's athleticism only, he is definitely capable of performing well with a defense that is built to stop the run. His low center of gravity gives him tremendous advantages against some taller offensive linemen and blockers. Murphy's only shortfall is his height and ability to interfere with a pass. I don't see any big risks with Murphy. He has zero injury history. I rank him late 1st round or early 2nd Round. He definitely will be gone by the 3rd round.

Impressive considering we traded down to add a 2024 1st and two 3rds.

Good interview with Jim Nagy (Head of the Senior Bowl) on which players helped themselves at the Senior Bowl. This interview is after Nagy gets to review the tape of all practices and game -- names 3-5 guys at every position in this interview. Keep in mind, Nagy in 2023 named the Cardinals Michael Wilson as the sleeper wideout who could really help a NFL team. Senior Bowl's Jim Nagy names a ton of players who helped themselves at Senior Bowl
FWIW: Today I started 4 mock drafts and all of them had MHJ gone at #4

My WR crush Malachi Corley, LB Cedric Grey, and the USC RB Marshawn Lloyd. I take these guys every time I can in my mocks. Corley used to be available with our early third, but has moved up. Grey is usually there with our early 3rd rounders. All my favorite sneaky picks are losing their sneaky status. Darn it.

The mock draft I did today had me wheelin' and dealin" with 10 of the top 104 picks. Both MHJ and Nabers were gone by pick #4 and so I traded down 2x in 1st round and again in 2nd round. Additionally picked up two (2) 2025 picks including a 2nd round pick from the Panthers.
See this for maybe my best mock draft to date -- #20 - DL Byron Murphy II #27 - Tyler Guyton OT #35 - Darius Robinson - Edge #45 - Brock Bowers - TE #51 - Ennis Rakestraw, Jr. CB #66 - Cedric Gray LB #71 - Xavier Legette - WR #75 - Cooper Beebe - OG #90 - Braelon Allen - RB #104 - Ricky Pearsall - WR #136 - Marshawn Kneeland - Edge from Western Michigan #160 - Erick Ali - TE (mistake here - should have gone secondary help) #168 - Marist Liufau - LB: he is as high as top 50 in some Top Draft Boards 2025 - 2nd Rounder (Panthers) 2025 - 4th Rounder (Steelers)
Still had picks in 6th & 7th rounds left.

Steve Smith (former Carolina Panther great WR) talks about the WR draft class - (He says something interesting about MHJ and the Cardinals toward end of video): Steve Smith - Last Friday video discussing almost 15 or more WR's in DraftDH - he thinks Corley will be the steal of the draft and Steve Smith identified the exact same comp for Xavier Legette as I did = DK Metcalf 2.0 (Smith says Legette > Metcalf).

I have seen Bowers falling down in the draft but not as far as in what you posted. Do you know what's going on with him? I haven't found anything on the internet explaining why he's falling on draft boards.

Corley drives me nuts in my mock drafts, because I want him so badly but also always take a big, tall WR with one of our first three picks, and then he’s never there by the 3rd round. Either have to take him too high or lose out. The only way I ever nab him is if I do a trade landing us an extra middle 2nd rounder. I really think he didn’t gain more traction early simply because he is 1” shorter than 6’-0” in a draft full of tall WR’s. Since the Sr Bowl, he’s climbing the charts and folks are taking notice. He’s a stud.
