Personally, I've had about a gutfull of Dortch bein' relegated to strictly ST return duties. I would submit that he and McBride could put a shine on Kyler's efforts today. UGH -- just shows you the problem with having then 3 short WR's in Brown, RM & Dortch. Zach Pascal has not been good. Can TE Higgins be used as an H-back type though he needs to catch the ball ? McBride might get 12-13 targets today ... screens to Michael Carter ? I would also say without multiple LB's and Safeties, you could see James Conner getting 20 touches today and McBride a LOT of targets. That would be my game plan if I were the OC… 1) James Conner…heavy dose of him until they show they can stop him; 2) Trey McBride…15 targets at a minimum. 3) Rob Moore…got to get him touches going North/South 4) Hollywood…3/4 deep shots when the match-up is right…got to find some chunk plays from a WR today.

CARDINALS OUT: RB Emari Demercado (toe), WR Zach Pascal (hamstring), DL Jonathan Ledbetter, S Joey Blount (knee) QUESTIONABLE: WR Michael Wilson (shoulder), OL Trystan Colon (calf), OL D.J. Humphries (ankle), DL Kevin Strong (knee), LB Ezekiel Turner (hamstring)
As mentioned above in the thread, it sounds like Wilson is also out. I wanted to see a full healthy season out of the young man, as his issue in college was injuries. Looks like another day to lean on the TE’s.

Two rookie coaches going at it today. Both very good former defensive coordinators from very good past organizations. A rookie QB having a Pro Bowl type season…against a former Pro Bowl QB in game (2) coming back from ACL surgery. I said in the beginning of the year…that if the Cardinals had not won a game yet this year…and KM was back for this game…that this would be where they would win. Well…he was back a game earlier…and they won. I’m not backing off my gut early feeling about this game regardless of Stroud’s play…which has been impressive. I’ll give a strong lean to KM today and his “experience” against the rookie QB. JG said when he took this job…that KM poses a lot of different problems for a DC. I think today…we see that displayed on the field in the way both of these DCs plan against these two QBs.

Is Ertz playing today? We actually need him today. Not to take over for McBride but to take up the slack because Michael Wilson is out. Ertz will give Murray a better target than Pascal. Murray to Ertz has been a good combo in the past. I hope he plays because then Houston will have to cover two decent TE's....
Edit: Pascal out...hmm...who will be our #3 WR? Dortch?
