THE OFFICIAL GAME DAY THREAD CARDINALS @ TEXANS
Happy Thanksgiving!
Review of the Cardinals vs Falcons
The Cardinals with the return of QB Kyler Murray come off a fresh win over the Atlanta Falcons. Arizona's record is now 2-8. But what we enjoyed most was the competitive spirit of the team as Kyler Murray led the team back into the win column. Best part about it was that Kyler led the team down the field for Matt Prater to kick the game winning field goal. On the day, Kyler was 19-32 for 249 yds and a pick. He did not look rusty which is a good sign for therest of the seaon. Kyler used his legs and ran for a touchdown and kept drives alive with his scrambling attitude. His favorite target and I might say now the forum's was the star of the game Tight End Trey McBride. McBride had 8 receptions for 134 yds. This folks was the first time in 34 years a Cardinals tight end had over 100 yards receiving.
The Defense did a great job as Taylor Heinicke threw for only 55 yards and a touchdown. Bijan Robinson the Falcons outstanding rookie did rush for 95 yards. The team was hurt by penalties again this week 11 penalties for a whopping 112 yards. Those are drive killers on offense. On defense they extend drives even when the opponent is not playing particularly well. Matt Prater was 4/4 in field goals for the day with a booming 56 yarder to his credit. One of these days, He will win us a playoff game with that leg of his. Blake Gilikin once again averaged 52 yards a punt which are very good numbers. Greg Dortch had two punt returns one of which almost went to the house. He had 56 yards for a 28 yard avg on the two returns.
Next up, The Cardinals fly to nearby Houston to face the up and coming Texans. That game's outcome has all kinds of ramifications for next years 2024 NFL Draft. Join us on the Game Day Thread coming up next. See you there!

OFFICIAL GAME DAY THREAD CARDINALS @ TEXANS
Make sure you read the draft implications article below marked in red.
Hi Everyone & Welcome to Week 11 of the NFL Season,
The Arizona Cardinals are in Houston, Texas today. Their opponents are the up and coming Houston, Texans. The Texans record is 5-4 and they are one game behind the AFC South leading Jacksonville Jaguars. Houston's rookie head coach Demeco Ryans is a leading candidate for NFL Coach Of The Year. Houston's offense is ranked 6th in the NFL (Football database link below). Rookie QB CJ Stroud has taken the league by storm. He is second in passing yardage behind Sam Howell of Washington with 2626 yds. He has thrown for 15 tds and only given up two interceptions. Stroud's QB rating is 101.0 which is well ahead of Howell's. He is well on his way to being a possibe rookie of the year in the NFL. His top target has been Nico Collins who returned to practice this week after nursing a calf injury that has had him out. Houston's top rusher is Devin Singletary who is avearging 3.9 yds per carry.
The Texans rank 13th in defense overall. Opponents are averaging 24 points per game, Their defense excels against the run giving up just over 98 yards per game. Last week, the Texans allowed the Bengals 380 yards of total offense with 314 through the air. But when your opponent has 544 yards of total offense. You are bound to lose and the Texans defeated the Bengals 30-27. One area of exploitation may be in the passing game as CJ Stroud has been sacked 19 times in 2023. The Cardinals B.J Ojulari is back with his two sacks last week along with Dante Stills getting to the quarterback. The Cardinals are coming along much better in the pass rush as the season progresses. This is a very winable game for the Cardinals. But the Texans are well coached and take a look below at their rookie class( link below). Look at the A + plus ratings of Stroud and Will Anderson who is playingmuch better as of late. Their class is exceeding the Cardinals this season. As one of our forum member put it. The Texans are a year ahead of schedule for the playoffs, Finally, Despite all this the Cardinals have some venom in their talons and that is QB Kyler Murray. He is back, with good legs and all. His game winning drive versus the Falcons was great to see. The Texans are on a roll after losing their first two games they have now won four of their last five. The Cardinals can win this game with good defense, passing accuracy and protection. Look for some big plays Explosives as Coach Gannon likes to call them. The Cardinals should keep it close but some up short. FLCF's prediction 34-28 Texans. .
GO CARDINALS!

Just like last week, I'm really nervous about this game. We took a huge step forward last week....was it just a fluke, or can we do it again? I sure hope so.
All I can say, it sure would be sweet if we can win two in a row. It would give us fans, the pundits, and maybe most importantly, the team confidence the plan is working.
Go Cardinals and make my day....
