DH/Mtdiesel - I do love some of your suggestions for FA. Below are some targets for Monti at key need positions. I've loved Tee Higgins since he was a Clemson Tiger but he will be expensive. Hollywood is going to want around Chris Godwin $$ (#2 to Mike Evans) at 3 Yr. $60M and he is the BFF to KM1. However when I look at FA WR lists Hollywood in one article was listed right behind Tyler Boyd of the Bengals and only the 5th best available WR FA. Of course by the time the FA period opens up, Monti will know the Cards draft position and if MHJ or Coleman will be available at their spot then Hollywood is most likely gone. These next games for Hollywood and his connection to KM1 are critical in the evaluation of Hollywood's worth to being a Cardinal in 2024. DL:Zach Seiler - Dolphins DT Teair Tart (TN - PFF = 69.4) as Monti probably had a hand in selecting him for the Titans roster. Justin Madubuike - Ravens as an interior DL has 9 sacks. He just turned 26 this month. LG:Ezra Cleveland Mike Onwenu - love this selection DH. Curious to see if Cards claim Teair Tart off waivers today after he was cut by the Titans on Saturday.

Bad attitude guys do not seem to be the trend here. Can go either way, where Monti’s friends there say do not touch him with ten foot pole or someone says give him a shot, just weird circumstances. We shall find out soon enough.

Yep it all depends on Monti’s perception of him. Folks on the Tenn boards are furious they waived him Saturday as they feel his absence as a run stuffer lost them the game Sunday vs the Texans.

The Texans claimed him. Monti didn’t want a run-stuffing, young DT he was likely involved with bringing in to the Titans fold 3 years ago, and who was considered the NFL.com’s 38th best 2024 FA. That tells you something.

QB Dobbs gets a huge FA endorsement by this writer. Some of Dobbs performance numbers are really good. His W/L numbers are not so good. I'm wondering, did Ossenfort got the best deal from MIN? I think the answer is Yes. The trade deadline was a key factor. Dobbs might still pay off.

Jaylen Johnson is from CA and went to college in Utah. Let’s bring him back West.

Jaylen Johnson is from CA and went to college in Utah. Let’s bring him back West. According to JV a top-flight corner is the #1 FA priority. Proven vet as a #1CB can really help the young CB's currently on the roster and add another CB on the 2nd day of the draft. What kind of draft capital could get the Cards either Derrick Brown or Brian Burns from the Panthers - Houston pick in Rd. #1 ?

Would love for top of the 2nd to work, but that might be dreaming. Budda and a 4th?

In my humble opinion the Cardinals top three needs and free agency are cn number one, left guard and interior defensive linemen. If all three of these positions are upgraded with All pro or near All pro caliber players then I fill the Cardinals would actually be contenders for a super bowl next year. The Cardinals have the cap space. Now it's time for Monty and Gannon to put on their salesman hat and get these guys to want to play in Arizona.
With the expected continued development of McBride at tight end I think getting a taller wide receiver such as mjh or nabers did first round of draft is also a priority.

No on Marita and Huntley. They just aren’t good. What’s the point? Brisett I actually like, but don’t think his next contract will fit with Kyler’s huge contract. Kyler doesn’t need a vet backup any more as a mentor. He needs to be the vet in the QB room. I strongly feel we’d be better off with a better than 5th round, young, developmental QB who could push Kyler for QB1 in the next one or two years, and I see five rookie QB’s who could do that.

It'll never happen but you know who I think could push Kyler in the best possible way? Baker Mayfield. He'd cost at least 10 million, but at least we wouldn't have to question the football smarts and leadership. I think he would elevate Kyler's play to the point where the positive competition would have both playing their best, and likely well enough that the one isn't playing as good could be traded to a needy team by midseason. Unlike Kyler, I think Baker would also pair better with a younger QB in terms of not having to worry about him teaching younger QBs bad habits. I feel like he's Colt McCoy, in the latter's younger years, without the shoulder injury that cost Colt so much zip vs, Colt's college days. Actually, I'd love to see us 'stack' our trenches in the draft and free agency, and wish we could have had a combo like Baker & Brissett. For what KM costs us we could have had both B&B plus afford an extra OL to boot. And B&B wouldn't have been a bad 1-2 punch if the rest of our team, including the defense was stacked with studs. Both are quality game managers

I strongly feel we’d be better off with a better than 5th round, young, developmental QB who could push Kyler for QB1 in the next one or two years, In an ideal world getting in another rookie QB is the most appealing option, and deep down I hope we go this way. However, that would leave us short of experience in 2024 and I'm not convinced the FO will wish to take that risk. A lot may depend on how far along they consider Clayton Tune has come, will he be ready to step in and play next season and give a good account? They could, of course, do both. Sign an experienced guy (to act as immediate back-up) and draft a developmental prospect, who could then 'compete' with Tune for a place on the main roster (the other going onto the PS to get better and stronger and develop his craft from there). There are options available
