Losing to a bad team when you're up 28 to 7 it's a big step forward? That's as believable as there was a forum glitch! Just locked itself out by magic I guess. First game day threat I've tried in a long time and it gets shut down. Lol Yep step forward, or were you expecting a winning team after they signed Dobbs? Nope but a win up 28-7 agents a bad team? Yes!

Hmmmm…after going 4-13 last year…and off to an 0-2 start this year…I don’t think we qualify to say a playoff winning team from last year is a bad team…just saying…now…if you’re basing that on how the Giants looked against the Cowboys…brace yourself…Cardinals play them next week…at home…like the Giants did…let’s see how we do. And if you’re basing that on having a 28-7 lead against them…well…we just gave up the biggest comeback win to them in like forever. So…please pump the breaks on the Giants being a “bad” team. They just played arguable the worst (6) quarters to start a season…but they dismantled us pretty damn good in that 2nd half…and that’s not a sign of a bad team…a bad team quits when down that much or loses a 28-7 lead…like the Cardinals did…again…just saying.

If it helps you to believe the Giants where a good team then so be it. Probably only two good teams in the NFC last year. 9-7-1 Down 28-7 in the third and we completely poop the bed. Look I'm normally the class is half full guy. Quite frankly I would rather we just got our butts kicked in the entire game. The thing I fear the most is that things won't change and there we go again finding a way to lose a game yet again in another bizarre Manor.

We are 8-22 including the Rams playoff loss since Oct 28, 2021, and Colt McCoy has 3 of those wins. We simply haven’t been good for almost two years now. We will very likely be 8-24 after the Cowboys and 49ers. We are 0-9 since beating the Rams in November of last year, and will likely be 0-11 two weeks from now.

Facts and statistics amaze us readers. And forecasts predict future events and help us plan and prepare. Just wondering, do you think the team has bottomed out yet? I think the trend is up. I agree with you that the losing skid likely will continue for the next 2-4 games. Dropping the next 4 would run the streak to 0-13. That stat alone doesn't tell the whole story. The last two games showed great competition, a huge change since 2022.

The last two games showed great competition, a huge change since 2022. Over the last two games I’ve stated in several threads that I am personally very happy with what I’ve seen on and off the field. You may know I wasn’t impressed with coming in “last place” in the GM and HC search. Monty and Gannon might turn out to be fantastic at their positions, but the likelihood is small with rookies, just like it is with players. So far, both have done almost all I could hope for. Monti has followed quite closely a blueprint I laid out as far as focusing on the long term, primarily because Kyler was under a massive contract but also injured for some/all of 2023. He shed contracts and players that weren’t in the long term plan, did a great job clearing the dead cap, and showed restraint hiring new players. The result is we will have little dead cap and a massive $70-100 million to spend in 2024, once our QB1 situation is clear and Gannon has had a year to settle in. As for Gannon, he seems to be settling in just fine, and in the small sample of two games I’m impressed by what he’s gotten out of what I consider an overall weak roster. Culture seems to be changing. Passion is evident. Mistakes are low, except for some personal foul stuff that as accredite to the “I want killers” culture statement. We’ve been competitive, but we’ve also faced crap teams. I do think we’ve bottomed out. The bottom was honestly giving Keim and KK their second contracts. Huge mistake, and set us back. We spent last year dealing with the consequences, and lost a whole season to Mike Bidwill’s hubris. We have no where to go but up. Gannon and his crew get a low pressure season to learn and experiment and put culture and playbooks in place. Time to evaluate almost like a season long pre-season. Monti gets a year to learn as well, and I imagine he is drooling over the 2024 free agency and drafts we have coming. Those will change the roster big time, and Gannon will know by then just what he has in his QB1 and rest of the roster. I’m super excited for 2024-2026, and it’s because of the restraint in 2023. If Gannon and Monti continue to impress, and Kyler comes back 100%, I’ll be even more excited!

Much brighter days are ahead for the Cardinals team.
