D. Jones finally found his rhythm in the 2nd half. Only took him 6 qtrs to do so, But... It was enough. When we wen 3 and out with 5 minutes left I knew we were in trouble. And then the forum glitched on many of us. Overall this was a big leap forward for this team. The Gints did make the playoffs last season. Up thru the start of the 4th qtr The D had held Barkley to a 2.6/yd avg per carry. Not bad for a bunch of low level talent everyone claims we are saddled with. The O played solid football the 2st half. But the 4th showed they are still a work in progress. This should be expected. They should be better next game vs the pokes. Hollywood was 6 of 10 on the passes thrown to him. This needs to improve. I think Ertz was 6 of 8. All other WRs/TE were 2 for 2 or 1 for 1. Main thing is we saw Improvement. I believe even stronger now that this team will win 7 games this year. I would like more as I do every year, But will be a bit disappointed if we fall short of 7 wins.

Losing to a bad team when you're up 28 to 7 it's a big step forward? That's as believable as there was a forum glitch! Just locked itself out by magic I guess. First game day threat I've tried in a long time and it gets shut down. Lol

Biggest comeback in Giants history only Arizona could do that for someone. The Giants were who we thought they were, and we let ‘‘em off the hook! I’ve said all preseason we weren’t going to be a good team. Lost talent to trades and free agency and retirements and focused draft strategy on gathering 2024 picks. Don’t have our QB1, and our former QB2 wasn’t very good anyway and then aged out. We kept our powder dry when it came to spending available cap on the 2023 roster. And we have a rookie GM, HC, DC and OC learning on the job this year, all in a new city, moving families and getting established, and starting new making relationships and evaluating talent, establishing a new culture, and installing new offense and defense. That is too much for any good draft pick or coaching to overcome, taking a 3 or 4 win team to an 8-9 team. I’m happy. Two weeks straight we were more competitive than I expected. Two weeks straight I did not see bad coaching. I did see some young coaching mistakes that can be learned from, specifically defensively today in the second half. I’ll be watching to see if our young coaches learn, something I didn’t see from KK. I saw some of the most important things I hoped to see. New culture and identity, a buying in by players of what the coaches are selling. I saw coaches getting more out of players than their paychecks and reputations might justify. I saw players that have been on their roster playing and demonstrating swagger and love of the game, such as Connor after some of his strong runs. And I saw a potential future QB2 who is younger and has more upside than, and may already be better, than 2021 or 2022 McCoy. I hope we can keep building on this and that the players can keep their chins up through what is going to be a hard season, and stay bought in to the culture and identity. I hope they all realize they are underdogs, but brighter days are very realistically ahead in 2024, with a GM and coaching staff who are no longer rookies, with a year of OLine development and installation and tweaking of offense and defensive playbooks, with a healthy QB1 and more experienced and developed QB2, and nearly $100 million in cap and 6 top 70 draft picks in 2024 to address talent and roster hole issues. Go Cardinals!

Who is this QB? Night and day from last week. The dude had been here for like 10 days. people needed to settle down and let the guy get acquainted with the team. Newbie from the UK - but a friend of Josh Dobbs. I can honestly say he is stoked to be playing for the team and his approach will be 100% focus and learning the plays/team/strengths and weaknesses. He comes in on his off days will be there from 7:30am daily and will give 100%. He took last week on the chin, but this week will be a blow - to be up so much at half time. Gutted for the team. It will get better. And Josh will be giving it his all.

See you guys tomorrow or maybe next weekend. I get to write my novel now. Did you lock the thread? Guys, I certainly did not do anything! I closed my computer laptop, turned off YT, and then went to bed to read.

For all non-Moderators and non-Administrators,
The process for locking a thread requires 3 steps.
The thread can be locked while the thread is open and in use by another member.
If an Mod/Admin is attempting to perform an administrative action (many drop down menus are used to select an action), an error could occur and not be noticed right away.

Apologies to the forum. Didn't notice all the chatter in the Shoutbox. I was busy stewing in my misery as a Cards fan. Not sure who locked the thread, but we could have been faster at unlocking it.

It was no biggy. It probably saved some of us from using a few expletives as the game slipped away in the waning minutes of the game.....lol

Let’s eat clock and get pints If I was a drinker I'd have gaffed off the pints and grabbed a fifth. 😁

We all (I'm sure) wish him the very best.
