Monty Williams is gone if we lose this series and good riddance I say. He is a gentleman and a great human being. As a coach contending for a championship, he has got to be one of the worst I've ever seen. He makes literally no adjustments during games. He doesn't even call timeouts to pause the other team's momentum and reset his guys. He is soft on officials. Monty allowed KD and Booker to play iso "Russell Westbrook" style ball and just jack up contested shots. He allows other teams open looks from beyond the perimeter. I've never seen him call a trap or even a press or zone to stop teams from hitting 3's against us.
The Milwaukee Bucks just fired Mike Budenholzer. "Bud" won the title in 2021 and outcoached Monty Williams. All of his teams are sound defensively. It's not his fault Giannis missed 13 free throws (10 of 23 in game 5). If we get ousted by Denver, owner Mat Ishbia should hire Budenholzer

Sun may be setting on the Suns this year. A win and they have a minimal chance and a loss there is no chance to win series. Thin on bench and role players that can be relied on.

Great second quarter, terrible third quarter, but our Suns pull out the win and are 1-2. Need to win Sunday and make this a three game series. We need C Paul, and Ayton as always needs to show up more consistently. Four points by a center his size? Durant and Booker can’t score 80-90 points every night.

Every year Chris Paul gets hurt. I am starting to believe he subconsciously subverts himself, being scared of being a winner is too much stress.
Otherwise go suns!

Felt like a sea change last night, they pulled together and made it happen. Don't count Chris Paul out, but this is the opportunity for the bench to step up big time, and it looks like they could do that. Two well matched teams, this is as much a mental battle as a physical and skills challenge.

Your Suns hit 'must make it' shots late in the 4th quarter. Nuggets then tried fouling and that backfired. Suns defense still looks like it underachieved last night but did much better than games 1-2. If your Suns earn a game 4 win, then maybe this series goes 7.

To have 2 extraordinary players is a great base. These two can score in that 80-90 point area for several games and in this series better keep that as a priority. I do not see any other player making a big slash for the Suns in this series, it is on Booker and Durant’s shoulders to win it. It would be nice to share the load, but there are times to do what ever it takes. Nuggets just match up against the Suns too well.

www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/37666849/for-victor-wembanyama-spurs-lottery-win-satisfying-end-wild-dayOMG!!! Tanking works. My Spurs won last night's draft letter with a 14% chance to get the #1 pick. The Spurs definitely will take the 7'4" 19-year old Frenchman at the NBA draft in late June. He's already branded the next generational player. I'm clearing wall space in my man cave for another framed Spurs NBA championship banner. The next one will joint banners from 1999, 2003, 2005, 2007, and 2014.

No way that guy will help the Spurs win a champion. I am watching way smaller guys back this guy down and the only reason why they didnt convert because he was so much taller and blocked his shot. Cant wait to see what he does when he actually plays against bigger and stronger players. It looks like he is playing with children out there. Has he even played against a guy over 6'8 yet? At least he did the right thing, he went to a place where he could easily dominate.

I still maintain had James Jones and the scouting staff drafted Tyrese Halliburton (now a perennial All Star) instead of drafting "Sticks" Smith, the Suns would already have a championship ring and might be going for a 3-peat. The doubled-up on this bonehead draft move by looking for another scorer and overpaying for Landry Shamet. I firmly believe even if the Suns wanted to make the Durant trade that Halliburton would have allowed Bridges to stay a Sun.
I still shake my head at these basketball "scouts" who picked one of the Morris twins rather than Kawhi Leonard when their biggest need was a "3 and D" player and then Halliburton was passed over when the Suns had a glaring need at a PG to takeover when Chris Paul aged.
UGH !!!

According to websites after physical measurements were made on Deandre Ayton preparing for the draft -- allegedly he has a standing reach of 9'4" and a VERTICAL jump of 43.5 inches. This is interesting since the TOP of the backboard is just 1/2 of 1 inch less than where Ayton ought to be able to reach when jumping. A physical specimen like this ought to be averaging nearly 3 blocks/game or more yet Ayton seems to only jump maybe 28-30" off the ground to make it appear he is trying. When I listened to Suns' broadcast talk about a 40" PLUS vertical, I thought they were lying because i have never seen D.A show that kind of reach. DA should be averaging a 20 pts/game - 13-14 rebounds/game and 3 block per game. This scouting site had glowing reports of DA's physical ability but note this excerpt taken -- Ayton Scouting Profile"He also turned down the opportunity to compete at the Hoop Summit, an event he had failed to impress at in past years … Tends to settle for jump shots and roams to the perimeter far too often … Can assert himself better as he can go through the motions … Sometimes goes through stretches where he isn’t involved with the offense … Must improve intensity and competitive nature." A football coach would have a drill or two wherein a player must increase intensity or he is "going to get smoked." Does Rick Mahorn or Laimbeer have a 20 yr old something son who is huge and a mean SOB which the Suns could bring in next fall and guard DA just during training camp. The saddest thing about the DA-experience for Suns' fans is that in 2021 when the Suns were up 2-0 for the Bucks -- DA and Booker were neck-and-neck to being the NBA playoff MVP. What the heck happened to the development ?
