Scott Pioli on GMFB talked about Monti contemplated being a FBI officer, very smart, hard worker and grinder. Maybe has has investigative skills to find talent.

What I do know are these key words and phrases he used:
1) ACCOUNTABILITY -- this appears to have also been what veteran interviews with MB told him the team needed. 2) EGO will not be tolerated !!! 3) Team benefits over individual accomplishments
I do want to amend another post I made concerning the Patriot drafts and whether Monti's player evaluations led to some poor Patriot drafts. A news person from Boston who does a lot of work with the Patriots says Belichik would have the scouts give their reports but Billy B ultimately made the selections. So I can't blame Monti necessarily for some poor Patriot drafts. I still have hope the 2023 is the best ever and I like Monti talked about trading down.
P.S. On 98.7 they listed quite a few of former scouts for the Pats who have been successful GM's so am nervous but feeling a little better.

I like that MO (MO is my new GM acronym) speaks openly about teamwork being valued over individual work. MO's message is for employees at all levels. He is definitely addressing prospective players as well as current players. I bet a dollar that Bidwill and MO spoke about that issue as well and both agreed that there is no letter "i" in the word "team." I did not conclude that anyone is protected either. It's just business.

Saw this at Urban's blog on January 16th: "Other than Buddy Ryan's tenure as head coach and GM in 1994 and 1995, Ossenfort is the first Cardinals' GM to be hired from outside the organization since Joe Sullivan came from Washington and manned the role from 1973-79. Larry Wilson was in charge from 1980-1993, and after Ryan, Bob Ferguson, Rod Graves and Keim were all promoted from within the team." Mike Bidwill is serious about a different process is in place for hiring the next GM and HC. I am optimistic that the next HC will also be an outsider. Honestly don’t know if he’d have done it if pops was still alive.

I have renewed respect for Michael Bidwill for opening the windows and airing out this stagnant Cardinal organization with an outside hire. Shows me that he is willing to step outside of the Bidwill comfort zone and bring in a fresh perspective to help fix this organization.
For that, great job MB. Go Cardinals!

Anyone else concerned that both the Cardinals and Titans had openings at GM…the only two I believe…and MO was already there for the Titans if they wanted him? Yet they chose to go another direction.

Of course I am concerned as Carthon is a good choice by the Titans. Am I right that Carthon interview was requested by MB but never happened? It is also possible Titans wanted to also go "outside the building" for a GM and went 100% for Carthon AND MO appears to be very tight with Vrabel who might be on thin ice there. The above brings up the thought -- is Vrabel going to be fired by the new GM and for Carthon to bring in friend and current 49er DC - Demeco Ryans ?? Then would Vrabel be the new HC in AZ ?? I could really get on board with a Vrabel HC and Flores DC combo !!!!

Ossenfort definitely looks the part. Players beware.
