OFFICIAL GAME DAY THREAD WEEK 10 ARIZONA CARDINALS @ LA RAMS
Hi Cardinals Fans & Welcome Rams Fans & Guests,
It is week 10 of the NFL season and the Arizona Cardinals
travel to Inglewood California to face their division cellar dweller
opponent The LA Rams at SoFi stadium. Both teams come into
the game with 3-6 records. The season is quickly fading away
for both of these NFC West rivals. The first meeting of the season
back on 9/25 saw the Rams come away with a 20-12 victory on the
road at the Cardinals State Farm Stadium.
Arizona's offense was inept on the day and never crossed the goaline
for a touchdown.
Rams QB Matthew Stafford played well enough to win by not making mistakes
and his offensive line only allowed 1 sack, Kyler Murray was sacked twice in
the first game. He threw the ball for 58 attempts and over 310 yards on 37
completions, The problem was that the average per completion was only
about 6 yards per play. James Conner only averaged 3 yds peer carry.
The dink and dunk passes and poor running game kept the Cardinals
from moving the ball up and down the field.
As we go to print this thread Matthew Stafford is going into concussion protocol.
Cardinals QB Kyler Murray was upgraded at practice Thursday to limited. Murray is
dealing with a hamstring issue. Look for the Rams to start John Wolford at QB
He was the unknown QB that came on and defeated the Cardinals 18-7
in 2020. Wolford out performed Chris Streveler who replaced
the injured Murray. Streveler threw a pick and another Cardinals
error was a penalty in the endzone for a safety. This game
both teams have an extensive injury list with players
on both sides of the line of scrimmage out for the game.
(See team Injury reports)
Arizona comes into the game ranked 9th in points per game
avg just over 24 pts a game, Los Angeles is 29th in scoring
just shy of 16.5 points a game.
On the defensive side of the ball the Rams are 17th giving up just over
21 points per game and the Cardinals are 31 st in the NFL
allowing 27 points per game.
The Cardinals do have DeAndre Hopkins back as he missed the
earlier meeting back in September.
The Cardinals will need to contain Cooper Kupp as they
have in their last two meetings. He has had less than 50 yards
vs the Cardinals.
