I was aware of this, yet I still missed it. I'm retired so I get up when I feel like it....lol. Usually anywhere from 5 to 7 AM. This day I got up at 5:30AM. It should have still been visible. Unfortunately, and because of trees in my neighborhood, it was too low on the horizon to see.
Not a big disappointment, I have seen several before....and therefore I didn't put in much of an effort to see it. Lunar eclipses are cool, but nowhere near as spectacular as a full solar eclipse.

I read about the eclipse and rushed outdoors at 430am here in SE VA and saw the earth's shadow covering about 1/4 of the moon. The scene will not be repeated for 3 years. By 500am, the moon was dipping below the horizon. So, I thought I'd alert the members out west by posting this tweet and picture. I don't think any of our western moonies gave a hoot about seeing a real-time moon eclipse at 130am! Too bad for the non-night owls. LOL!
