US style football in Japan is okay by me. Japanese baseball has thrived for many decades. I lived in Yokohama for a couple years and watched a bunch of sumo tournaments. Those sumo dudes are bigger and faster than a lot of NFL players. The guys in the YouTube are small. However, if Japanese colleges start recruit sumo champions, watch out SEC! The rout will be on. They will be coming after your top recruits next.

I clicked the YT video link provided in the tweet. I have to admit, I kind of got a chuckle from some of it. No doubt some of them are probably good athletes, but I think the inexperienced coaching was showing. Nothing wrong with that. I mean where do you find an experienced football coach in Japan...they will learn.
This is the play that made me smile the most. They need to work on their kickoff coverage...lol
Maybe I should put this in the Cardinal history threads, ( maybe I will, but with a little more information ) but since we're talking about Japanese football...I'll put it here.
Did you know that the Cardinals played a preseason game in Japan many years ago and was the first NFL game played outside North America. Who knows, maybe this was the catalyst to get American football going in Japan.

Gotta admit...Kyoto Gangsters is a cool name. Imagine for a minute that a Japanese billionaire with Yakusa besties buys the Cardinals and renames the team the Arizona Gangsters. Fans will be known as Gangbangers. Player face tattoos are mandatory. NFLPA and Goodell will have a conniption.
