Chiefs 27. Cardinals 23. I do not predict the Chiefs running away with the game nor beating the +4.5 point spread.
Chiefs will own the Time of Possession clock 32/28 mins, score 3 passing TDs and kick 2 FGs. 1 Chiefs turnover -- fumble. 27 points total. 6 penalties.
Cardinals will score 3 TDs, 1 running and 2 passing, and sack the QB in the endzone for a 2-point Safety. K misses 2 FGs. 2 Cardinals turnovers -- INTs. 23 points total. 7 penalties.
Reason Chiefs do not lose: Mahomes 25/27/297yds/3TD/0INT.
Reason Cardinals do not win: Murray 19/40/241yds/2TD/2INT.

Now that is what I call a Flight Plan Cardinals 34- Chiefs 30 James Conner 100 plus yards Kyler runs for a long TD Marquis Brown has 90 yards 7 catches Simmons causes a Turnover Mahomes gets sacked by Lawrence

Wow...that's some pretty detailed predictions...it will be fun to see how many of those things come to pass. For me, I chose the Cardinals to win by six or less. It's not so much that it's what I think will happen, but more just being optimistic without going too far. The first game of the year is always difficult to predict. Most teams will have new or different players in several if not most areas. In the couple of years I participated in the Pick'em League, the first week was notorious for most to miss more picks than usual. The thing I worry most about this game is Andy Reid. He is a long time veteran and one of the best. - All time win loss record....233 to 135
- At KC....103 to 42
- As FLCardinalFan points out..won 9 straight opening games
He will have his team ready.
Still, I think KK will have our team ready as well. It's going to come down to execution and can our guys out play their guys.
KM will have a chip on his shoulder. I don't know if that will be a good thing or bad thing, but he is going to want this bad. If he plays with a cool head, I think we can do it.
Go Cards!!!!!

I voted for us winning by 6 points or less.
As @thomascat eludes too, opening day games are always hard to predict and some teams take longer to gel than others to get the season started. Talent wise, I think we match up well with the Chiefs but will have to bring our A game no doubt. Andy Reid is a superior coach and while KK is not to that level yet, he has some good football intelligence himself.
Stopping Mahomes is of course key, but so is how well we do without some of our weapons. Murray should have a chip on his shoulder for how he was perceived by a lot of the fans and the media this offseason. Will he play to that, or will the pressure get to him? Obviously, we hope for the former.
If we lose, it will come down to which QB is better at clutch situations. Hopefully KM wins that battle.
Right now will say 24-20 Cards and hope will be getting drunk in celebration come Sunday.

Kc 31 Arizona 17
Chiefs by 14 or more
There are many reasons why this is my prediction. First of all the choefs offensive line is very good. The Cardinals defensive line is suspect and the secondary is weak. Kelsey will have a big game.
The Cardinals offensive line is average at best but other than brown the Cardinals are weak and wide receiver. Chief secondary will blanket Brown. Connor will not get near a hundred yards because a Cardinals will be forced to pass on nearly every down in a second half and the game will only be this close because the cardd get garbage time touchdown.
Km will be sacked at least three times and will throw two pics. The Chiefs will not commit any turnovers. This will be an ugly game

This will be an ugly game I will be honest, I would not be shocked if your scenario played out just as you say. Still, I could have said the same with last year's opener.....that didn't happen.... pretty much the opposite. I have no idea how this game will play out, but I'm going to put on my lucky shirt and try to remain positive right down to the last play in the game.

I absolutely hate (yeah this word will probably get changed) predicting a Cards win. It seems like I jinx them when I do. I'm going all out. Little Andy that everyone seems to knock or dislike because of where he was drafted will get a last minute catch & run for a TD or at least in FG range for a win.

Little Andy that everyone seems to knock or dislike because of where he was drafted will get a last minute catch & run for a TD or at least in FG range for a win. coach cliff should have Andy at least a dozen times run a straight fly pattern but only when he is on the right side of the field by himself and all other wide receivers on the left side of the field or vice versa. I think it's important to let the Chiefs know early in this game that we will throw the ball to Isabella and we will throw the ball to him deep and they better adjust their defense accordingly. If we can somehow scare the chief's defense into feeling they must play at least one deep safety to prevent the long pass to Isabella that's going to give a lot more room to the other wide receivers to work on the other side of the field. In spite of Isabella's obvious flaws he does have speed and if you're not going to utilize that then there's no point in him being on the roster or the field for that matter. Again if I'm coach cliff I also want to find out about mcbride. I'm calling a half a dozen plays at least where he's the primary target. We've got to find out if he's going to be a player or not and if he can win one-on-one matchups against linebackers or safeties. I also want Connor to have 25 touches at least LOL.

Sometimes this AI thing seems like giant decoy. All the sudden he balls out scoring a walk off deep ball td.

You know I agree with you I Hate predictions I can't predict game much on here I have been right a few times I dont like long term predictions because of things like Injuries, trades, suspensions, ARRESTED PLAYERS ETC I like to predict drafts though because I reasearch them so much in the past The last two years I have dropped off doing so much,
