Bugs....ugh. I'm actually fine with them as long as they are not in my house. Hell, they can be very interesting in their behavior and how they reproduce. Not to mention, many bugs are very beneficial in keeping other bugs in check. Got to admit, the zombie/vampire thing is creepy but there are many examples of that in the insect world.
I don't have arachnophobia.....but I hate it when this happens....

About bugs and behavior, I have this walled-in brick garden in my backyard. The garden is full of tall leafy green plants with many types flowers and fruits. I provide fresh water at ground level for birds four-legged critters that wonder by. I have a chair sitting right in the middle of the green growth in which I occasionally park myself and sit perfectly still. I am fascinated by the insect carnage.
Folks, it's a dog-eat-dog world out there! The many wasps and spiders are the most aggressive insects in the garden, feasting on other insect species and some of their kind! On the ground, hidden under leaves and between stacked stones, are countless 4-5" lizards that dine on leaf worms, crawly bugs, eggs, and new larva.
I rarely use any bug poison in the garden, then a light liquid treatment to rid my plants of annoying gigantic 2" green worms that seem come from outer space and eat everything in sight in a day. Everything seems in perfect balance right now.
That spider on the woman's face is gross. I am terrified of only two things: spiders and snakes. But, both critters have their job to do in the world.
