I remember this major volcanic eruption at Kilauea volcano, Hawaii, that started in early May 2018 and ended many months later. I ran across this curious golfer intently gazing at the flight of his golf ball following a probable T-Box shot. Behind him is the roaring Kilauea vent belching millions of metric tons of choking hot ash and planet-killing gases. Mother nature is playing through. LOL! Today, I was reading about golfing on Oahu. I played 4-5 courses from Camp Bellows to Hickham AFB to Ala Wai near Diamond Head. Hawaii is the best place in the world to golf. The scenery is always interesting.

Looking at that picture kind of reminded me of this picture....taken from this article... A whirlwind romance! Incredible wedding pictures show TORNADO form behind newlyweds as they pose for their photographsThen there is also this.... Back to your photo. Tornados are one thing, but a volcanic eruption is on another scale. I suspect the photo makes it much look much closer than it really was....still I would be scared that a pyroclastic flow would reach me even if it was far away. From what I understand, Hawaiian volcanoes are not known for them, it's mainly lava flows that do most of the damage there. You can outrun lava. I guess that's why they showed little concern.
