How's season tickets sales going? Smart move by the leaders to give folks what they want and sell a few more hundred seats maybe. Slim hope is better than no hope.

With most rookie QB's coming out of college ( especially with so many using a form of the spread offense ) the hardest thing for then to learn is how to read a defense and the footwork getting away from center. Then we have the timing on their throws in the 3,5,and 7 step drops. I don't think Rosen will have any trouble with the footwork. Reading a pro defense is another mater. It's not the same game as in college. He gets the reading a defense down we will have a winner on our hands.

That would not make me happy, to answer your question.
Spending the future for a good time today has never appealed to me as being sensible, and in this case we seem to have snagged the cream of the QB crop.
Why take a big risk by putting him in even if he does show better than either of the previously intended starting QBs? As many have noted on this forum, how about demonstrating that the OL is capable of protecting ANY QB before rolling the dice. Let Bradford and Glennon play out what is likely to be a
few months system learning curve and adjustment period. They have the experience and acquired smarts to even win games, let alone be just adequate, and we are paying for that ability. Maybe put Rosen in some game(s) when the other team is tired and losing, just for experience - but not as a starter even then.
Risk/reward/necessity - three things for serious consideration by Wilks and anyone else in the Cards organization.
That Wilks is even considering using Rosen early raises my eyebrows. Too many newish and anxious coaches have ruined young QBs by tossing them to the wolves early. I hope he does not do the same, no matter what the reason may be. The urge to play with a new toy can be overwhelming, but a possible future franchise toy is too valuable to expose to needless risk.
If it is all just ticket selling talk, OK - but somehow I don't think that is the case.
edit: I have no idea why some lines above break in odd places - - -

HC Wilks is hedging his bets. And If Rosen does beat out SB and then Wilks starts Rosen, I'm positive that HC Wilks and SK will keep the O-line supplied. They won't go down the Texan/Carr road with their shiny new QBoF.

Hard not to notice that Wilks is hedging on his Rosen statements. He wants Rosen to feel like he has a good chance to start and there's nothing wrong with that. I'd be pretty shocked if Rosen started the season unless SB got hurt prior to game 1. Ahem.

Good chance they are blowing smoke (1) pumping up Josh's confidence for future (2) lighting a fire under Bradford for present (3) increasing season ticket sales $$$

Considering we are installing a new O with a lot of new personal and Bradford is being protected because he's made of glass what other choice is there? It's either Glennon or Rosen. Bradford can't even work with the first unit at this point.

Suh isn't even the main attraction. No way I am putting Josh in against Suh and Donald. The Rams are on the highway to cap hell. They won't have this d-line next year. It looks like an opportunity for Glennon to show his stuff.

It's a win win for us. If Rosen isn't playing we are winning and Glassford is doing well with Rosen learning for next season. If Glassford goes down and he will the Rosen era starts and that's good too.
