I prefer the Summer Olympics, but there are a few events that I do enjoy.
Maybe my favorite is the short track speed skating. It's almost like short track dirt car racing. There can be a lot of bumping and rubbing and anything can happen.
Unlike years in the past, I don't think we have anyone like
Apolo Ohno but who knows.
I also like the down-hill skiing. They reach almost unbelievable speeds with nothing but a skintight uniform for protection. They are daredevils.
The weird sport that I have to admit I kind of like is curling. No athleticism needed here (
well, you do need to use a broom efficiently....lol ) What I love about it is the strategy. It's a slow-moving game that I might even be able to do......lol
I loved watching the Winter Olympics in the past
Going way back
Peggy Flemming and Dorothy Hamil such
class on the ice and after the Olympics.
But this one sticks out as one of the biggest

Legendary downhill run

Matti Nykanen Rest In Peace (55 y/old)
I cant describe how watching this young
kid sail through the sky obilterating
the competition in two Olympics.
I admired him.
His life was a tragedy off the ski slopes
Alcohol and ADHD among other problems
led to his imprisonment.
Gold in Sarajevo
Calgary
Peggy Flemming 1968
Dorothy Hamil All of a sudden every girl in school
had their hair cut Like Dorothy's
My Crush Katerina Witt I could watch her skate all day
BUT NUMBER 1 OF ALL TIME FOR ME IS THIS
1980 HOCKEY TEAMI SAW IT LIVE STAYED UP ALL NIGHT!
