Needed to go after yesterday. Absolutely disastrous signing and a huge miss on Keim’s part

Lets have the man who signed Andre Smith also be in charge of drafting an OL with a top 5 pick. Should go great

Somebody tell me what they saw in this slug ? The guy was washed up 2 years ago. Him and Pugh have to be 2 of the worst signings ever. and to think SK gave Pugh 45 mil for 5 years. Ouch ! How do you get rid of that ?

How do you get rid of that ? It is going to be one of Eat in to the cap space by cutting him and taking the hit at the end of the year which would be $10m in cap hit Hope with a more solid right tackle (Cunningham), he can find his feet at right guard and improve. Hold out till his potential out in 2020. Play him for the full 5 years regardless.

How do you get rid of that ? Yeah I thought pugh was gonna be a good signing but it has turned out to be not so good. I am still wondering though was it that he had such a horrible RT next to him that got him hurt and made him ineffective? I am ready for a major overhaul on the oline. Plus some creativity in coaching.

This cunningham kid will hopefully turn out to be a huge steal. We are going to need to hope that Pugh can come back to be an average guard at a minimum since he got paid. We are stuck with him.

It adds an additional layer of contempt when the player was bad BEFORE the signing.
Justin Pugh - a known injury risk. Had played 6 NFL seasons. Has been IR'd on 5 of them What the heck did you think would happen?!
Andre Smith - In a league where OLs are more valuable than gold, do you think a RT coming off 2 1-and-done contracts is a hot commodity? He stinks. Hes a journeyman now for a reason. You really thought he was the answer? Even worse: 9 NFL seasons...IR'd 8 of them! Even if his performance was OK, its only a matter of time before hes injured too.
We cut Smith lose but we are stuck with Pugh for at least 3 years. Awful. He probably is only healthy for half those games.

With the cap space we have, you could cut Pugh and just suck it up. But I agree, Pugh has been a sicknote throughout his career and then people are shocked when he ends up on IR halfway through the season.
