I’d rather be healthy and face the Cowboys in Dallas again, than rush guys back for Seattle with the hope of a win and Rams loss and a Division Title, leading to a game vs the Eagles or 49ers. Sit everyone nursing injuries. It’s weird but that’s my gut.

GAME WEEK 18 ARIZONA CARDINALS VS SEATTLE SEAHAWKS The Cardinal Rule: His Previw of the Cardnals vs Seahawks CR provides a cogent assessment. The Cardinals do not totally dominate the Seahawks statistically speaking. In fact, the Cardinals barely lead or fall behind the Seahawks in some key categories -- LBs, ST, etc. The Seahawks are fully capable of stealing a home game from the Cardinals on January 9th. So, the Cardinals need to be on top of their game again, ala a Cardinals vs. Dallas Cowboys redux. DVOA is an interesting discussion. DVOA is situational and tells me how the two teams react to unexpected and high pressure situations. Who makes plays? Who falters? That's how I interpreted DVOA. A critical team function that CR did not mentioned at all is coaching. Where does coaching fit in at CR's bottom line assessments? Does coaching and playcalling matter? How? Is that covered in DVOA? I don't have answers but am interested in his perspective on coaching impact on game outcome. I double checked CR's data and he does not fudge numbers. His awareness of player injury status is real-time, based on what is reported to the NFL. He did not mention COVID testing impacts which could outpace CR's news uptake and his video production update capability. Grade: A.

I think Bobby Wagner has been ruled out of the game. He always plays well against us.

I think Bobby Wagner has been ruled out of the game. He always plays well against us. Concur on both points. Wagner reportedly strained a knee again. If Wagner does not get well, his FA value plummets next spring. Wagner at full strength was always a pain in the butt to the Cardinals offense. Glad the Cardinals don't have to worry about him Sunday.

Sit everyone nursing injuries. It’s weird but that’s my gut. I agree with you. This game means next to nothing to me. I'll be happy if we win but it's not a must win game. Get ready for the playoffs, that's all that matters now.

These kind of incentives make me nervous. His assignment may be to contain or fill a gap, but his brain will be wanting to go get that sack somehow.

It's way better to be the two seed then the 5 seed based on the second round playoff matchups. I don't think the 49ers will beat the Rams but you never know. The last few weeks Stafford screw-ups have not cost them a victory but that can happen at any time. One thing no one should make a mistake about it in Seattle is going to play this game like it's the Super Bowl. They would absolutely love to prevent the Cardinals from winning the division. In my humble opinion Everybody Plays if they're healthy enough at least through the first half. Then at the Rams are killing the 49ers then maybe you pull a few guys out but I believe in Herm Edwards you play to win the game.

The 49ers have something big to gain. The Rams could win and that will end the discussion about NFC West Division crown and where the Cardinals play their first playoff game (@ Dallas). I think the Cardinals will watch the scoreboard for a possible close game between SF and LAR. But, if the game is not close, then the Cardinals will not risk players health and pull starters at the 3/4 mark. I am comfortable with the Cardinals playing the 49ers in the playoffs if the Rams lose on Sunday. I am unsure about how much team energy the Seahawks will spend on a game that provides no incentives. Individuals will work for themselves, paychecks, stats, and resumes. The head coach knows his future job is elsewhere, or he must retire. The starting QB supports the team publicly but clearly wants to move on by September 2022. The fans and 12th Man will watch the game and dream about next season.

for what it's worth I have never liked Pete Carroll. He was like failure as coach of the Jets. He treated like a big dog at USC. He got extremely lucky when Russell Wilson beat out the Big Money free agents assigned to be their quarterback. I think it was Castle but I can't remember the name for sure. During his time at Seattle head coach Seattle has been the team and it's not even close with the most cheap shots and borderline late hits. I remember one game against the Cardinals wear on a field goal one of their guys with another player as a springboard which is clearly illegal the announcers even commented on it but the referees didn't throw a penalty flag. Pete Carroll blasted off from USC to take the Seattle job and the very next year they got hit with massive recruiting violations and sanctions. Of course he told the media he had no idea anything illegal was happening but we all know that was a massive lie. What a tool.

What a tool. sports.yahoo.com/blogs/nfl-doug-farrar/pete-carrolls-part-usc-scandal--nfl.htmlJCF, I had some free minutes this morning and dug into the Carroll connection to the USC football program and player violations. He seemed involved in connecting the player Reggie Bush and some local entertainment and business leaders, per an official report. Bush got paid. How did Carroll benefit? That is unclear. No US and state laws appeared violated. Carroll was long gone from USC by the time the NCAA imposed the 'death sentence' on several USC sports programs.
