The QB market will be super hot right after the Super Bowl game is done. I expect pre-Draft trades and FA signings unlike anything we've seen in NFL history.
QB Roethlisberger mentioned on December 30th that next Sunday's game at Heinz Field could be his last Pittsburgh. I think the man is done.
QB Rodgers mentioned this week that he will not dilly-dally on a decision to stay on for 1 more year or retire soon after the Green Bay season ends. I think he will sign elsewhere.
QB Wilson is rumored to be moving on from Seattle prior to the start of the 2022 season. I think he will sign elsewhere. Carroll could leave first.
QB Watson will either be in prison or traded. Houston will draft a QB.
Other teams possibly/likely/probably on the hunt for a starting QB and consistency:
Atlanta. Ryan is aging fast, possibly about done as a starter. New QB via FA.
Baltimore. Jackson is having difficulty with his health. Jackson be the safest QB on the list
Carolina. Newton is done for certain. New QB via FA.
Chicago. Dalton is done for certain. New QB via FA.
Denver. Lock should watch out for Rodgers having lunch with Elway. Lock may be the unluckiest QB in the NFL and heading elsewhere.
New Orleans. QB by Practice Squad is embarrassing to HC Sean Peyton. Saints will trade up for a top-10 QB Draftee.
That's the top 10 teams looking for a new QB face, near as I can determine on New Years weekend 2022. A few other teams might jump into the FA picture, ala LAR and DET did with Stafford and Goff in early 2021. CLE is making noise about Mayfield's health and pending contract. ARI is set with Murray for at least one more year. SF is set with Lance and may move Garoppolo. The two NY teams will ride out the QB storms for another season. A shocker -- TB sees their GOAT QB hand in his locker room keys, leaving the GM with an empty roster spot and no good options.
