GAME WEEK 12 THE ARIZONA CARDINALS BYE WEEK
First Up.
I want to thank my friend on here CardCore for his NFL Schedule of Bye Chasers.
Go check out his thread. Its a great addition to the forum. Pertinent information,
he has given us to say the least and is great for discussion amongst the members.
This Thread will be updated after the Seattle Game and I will continue
to keep the Arizona Cardinals Fan Forum informed all during the week.
Just Past Mid Season Review
This has to be one of the most exciting seasons in Cardinals history
going all the way back to the days of
The Chicago /St. Louis/Phoenix/Arizona Cardinals.
I'm not going to go into the history of the previous cities and Cardinal
teams. To Us, it should be all about the 2021 Arizona Cardinals
and that is what this thread and season is all about.
To a man, I don't think anyone on this forum thought
we would be 7-0 to start this season. Now we sit at 8-2
going into a road trip to Seattle.
A more reasonable expectation would have been
a 6-4 record or even 5-5 since we had lost 5 straight to
the Carolina Panthers.
In retrospect
L Titans should have beat The Cardinals in Tennessee
L Rams should have beat us at their stadium
L 49ers should have been a split.
W/L Green Bay could have gone either way
L Carolina took us to the wood shed
What does this tell us, We are a good team
like any other good team up to a point,
That point being injuries. They derailed us years ago
when Warner went down, again when Andre Ellington
went down, and Carson Palmer.
I had a thread up that the Cardinals should go QB shopping
before the bye week. This was right after the Carolina Game.
Lo and behold two days later the Cardinals are trying to poach
the kid QB Shane Beuchele off The Chief's practice squad.
The missed their shot as Kansas City promoted him
to their active roster.
Why Shane Beuchele? (See Below) When you get to your 3rd string QB
you are pretty much done.for getting far in the playoffs.
Notice that in the past even our backups failed
starting with Leinart for Warner and Lindley & Thomas for
Palmer. Also throw in last year when Streveler met his
match in John Wolford for the Rams and we lost.
But you have to make the effort.
Key Injuries
1. Malcolm Butler Retires
2. Maxx Williams gone for the season
3. Kylie Fitts valuable backup gone for the season
4. JJ Watt may be done for the season
Miracles do happen.
5. Aaron Brewer Broken forearm He is on IR
I do believe that is the case.
There are a lot more that I missed
the rosters have those players listed who are on IR.
Hudson, Edmonds, Murray, Jones, Hopkins
Kyler Murray, Phillips, and many more.
Why QB Shame Buechele
He is barely taller than Kyler
that has to be the reason ( just kidding)
If you read the Ourlads profile. You get a glimpse
of what he can and cannot do.
1. He has accuaracy one thing many young NFL QBS lack
2. He is smart I notice he had 23 TDs but only 6 INTS
3. Experience as a college Passer in an ULTRA QB friendly system
4. Gets the ball out quickly, mentally one step ahead of the game.
5, Savy defenses will be a problem
6. Short routes can be taken away
7. Not that strong of an arm.
