I hope Jon wins billions from the NFL. Not because he was a good guy or anything but because they targeted him specifically. |

I hope Jon wins billions from the NFL. Not because he was a good guy or anything but because they targeted him specifically. Gruden had one more Red Challenge Flag in his pocket and wisely used it before the court of opinion's 2-minute warning started. The NFL definitely wanted to look assertive with wokeness even many years after the emails were sent. The info release and smear against Gruden was intentional, and damaging because he's out of work. He will get a fat tax free settlement from the NFL. |

What Gruden wrote 10 years ago was dumb and insensitive. What the NFL or its cohorts did a month ago to Gruden also was dumb and costly. Gruden is certainly damaged goods now.

I'm guessing the NFL will avoid getting into a massive email release that exposes many people's personal lives to public scrutiny. That's the cheapest way out of this one. When the NFL is sued, it's actually the 32 owners that are sued and become personal injury defendants. The Commissioner also is a defendant in the Gruden suit. These execs all have insurance to cover such costs. If the damages exceed the insurance limit, the owners' cut checks from their personal accounts. Gruden will be paid well for his time and trouble on this lawsuit. |
