I've never seen a performance as big from a backup QB. I had zero expectations after suffering through watching the likes of John Skelton and Blaine Gabbert around here. This dude , without many weapons, looked like the BOSS out there. Simply amazed and thoroughly enjoyed watching that.
You can argue this was the best work by a QB on our team this year. We average around 330 YPG. We went over 400 with Colt and missing all those weapons.
Dont underestimate the value of this game for the psyche of the team. To do that without Kyler makes this team a legit Super Bowl contender.
I hated the signing of James Conner. He's one of the offensive MVP's of this team. A unique guy I don't see any comparable around the league. Has that upright running style, looks like a middle linebacker running like a man possessed. I did notice he flinched on his last run. Hope he's not hurt.
Seeing Kyler on the sideline I couldn't help but think " who's the high school kid"?
Did anyone else find the broadcast crew kind of disinterested in this game. How about a little enthusiasm.
Colt McCoy has played for 5 teams in his career. All terrible losers. Some QB's thrive in the right system, maybe this is the case here.
Who else wants to see more Eno Benjamin?
Hey Keyshawn what do you think of the Cardinals defense now?
Marcus Golden has 9 sacks and makes 3 million. Chandler Jones makes 20 million this year (if you include his restructure) and has 6 sacks . Guess who's not going to be back next year?
Rodney Hudson makes an appreciable difference with his presence.
When was the last time you weren't pulling your hair out over false starts on our Oline? Did we even have one yesterday?
Kliff Kingsbury is coming into his own as a coach. He looks very engaged on the sideline. And his wardrobe seems more mature too.
Little Andy Isabella was in on 10 % of the snaps. Did anyone notice that?
Does anyone else notice the improvement in our run defense? What is the main factor for that? Dont say Jordan Phillips because he still doesnt play in over 50 % of the snaps.
I wonder if our LB crew is one of the best in the league? Hicks is a new man and Simmons is a beast.
I thought Tanner Vallejo had some great penetration during the game.
Jimmy G. looked genuinely frustrated during the game as did Kyle Shanahan.
I've lost all hope in the Peanut Butter Falcone.
Is Zaven Collins hurt or do they not have much faith in him?
Who'd have thought we would be a running team? But you add in all those creative calls and you have a winning formula.
I still cant get over the performance of McCoy. It ranks of one of the greatest come in cold performances I've ever seen.
