Sad to say Henry Ruggs was driving a vehicle that was involved in an accident and was charged with DUI along with a death caused by the DUI. Serious charges. I actually liked Ruggs and thought he was better than that. I guess the Las Vegas lights got to him.

This is a sad situation that happens almost every day. A drunk person that doesn't want to harm anyone, yet does.
People always think they can handle it. What makes this worse, he was speeding. If you are going to drive while drunk....at least obey the speed limit.
I don't want to prejudge with not all of the facts, but this does not look good in so many ways.
Peace to the ones that lost a loved one....

Per Nevada law, vehicular manslaughter is a misdemeanor Generally, a convicted motorist is looking at up to six months in jail and/or a maximum of $1,000 in fines. A vehicular manslaughter conviction also results in a one-year license suspension. I did not notice in Nevada's law if a LE finding of DWI or DUI contributes to the final sentence. Logically, I think a judge could throw the book at the convict.

HOT OFF THE WEB NOV 3:
Ruggs had his initial court appearance Wednesday, November 3, on felony charges of driving under the influence of alcohol resulting in death and reckless driving that could get him up to 26 years in state prison if he is convicted. He was driving 156mph and drunk when his vehicle hit another vehicle in the rear end, causing the other vehicle to catch fire and burn to death the 23-year old female driver.
Since I also lost my twin-brother to a drunk driver, I know exactly what this woman's family is experiencing now. I demonstrated no mercy for the man that killed my brother.

It also was stated that he was driving 128 when the airbag deployed. Had a loaded gun as well and was driving over twice the legal limit.

I hope he changes before he dies in prison.
