First of all -- Overthecap.com shows the Cards with $1.7M UNDER the cap even after Ertz trade ... some readjustment was made to someone's contract apparently. Now this article listing teams with players on trade block has Josh Weinfuss putting up Kennard {Excerpt and Link below]: A trade immensely helps the Cards since it would free up over $6.6M on the cap (but it would be pro-rated for the # of games left I believe) -- hmmm, allowing a draft pick to go for a good player with a decent contract before the trade deadline Trade CandidatesExcerpt - NFC WEST Arizona Cardinals LB Devon Kennard The answer would have been inside linebacker Jordan Hicks at the start of the season, but he has established himself as a critical piece of this year's defense. However, Kennard has seen his playing time drop since he missed Week 9 last season because of COVID-19 protocols. He's averaging about 10 fewer snaps per game this season than in games he played last season. If a team is looking for a veteran presence who can still rush the passer off the edge, Kennard would be the answer. But he won't get the same kind of playing time in Arizona behind Chandler Jones and Markus Golden that he would elsewhere. -- Josh Weinfuss

Jordan Philips just got some money converted as a signing bonus to free up 5.2 million . If the Cards want Kyle fuller from Denver than hump would have to restructure
