This is a rare event, e.g., a player refusing to join the NFL team that claimed him. Maybe there are team-player negotiations ongoing about reporting timing. Harbaugh seems unfazed by Knight's refusal and almost uninterested, citing respect for Knight's privacy. I searched in vain online this morning for the consequences for an NFL player that does not report to a team that rightfully put in a claim. Anyone know what happens to Knight next? The NFL CBA might have the answer.

I searched in vain online this morning for the consequences for an NFL player that does not report to a team that rightfully put in a claim. Anyone know what happens to Knight next? The NFL CBA might have the answer. I pulled up the NFL CBA (200mb pdf) and found no specific language on the consequences of non-reporting. It is clear that the Dallas and Knight relationship is done. No waiver re-do's are allowed. And Baltimore is left hanging for now. Anyway....
