Murphy and Wilson were monster player returns for AZ. VJ put them on islands after missing last week and they both stepped up. Alford out of respect for being available every game and playing at a all star level also needs to be recognized.
Alford has found the fountain of youth after two years in the pasture. Wilson, although praised has played better than anyone thought a rookie fourth round CB could(props to SK). Murphy is in-line for a big payday.

After the Cardinals went to the Super Bowl, everyone got dollar signs in their eyes. The Cardinals need to do the same thing the Buccs were able to pull off: discounts to play on a championship team. Team football. I know the NFLPA really looks down on players being underpaid, but there is a blueprint out there that the Cardinals can follow.

Who would of thought that CB play would be a area of strength this season after the MB retirement and loss of Peterson. We dont even see fans complaining anymore about PP being gone. The key now is extending Murphy

So much of the Cardinals future depends on KM, including the CAP management…. If ownership is open to the same type of contract that the Chiefs negotiated with PM. It allows more flexibility in CAP management… That’s a real commitment to any player, talk about hitching your wagon to a QB. Wow!
I’m not sure that KM is the same type of player, not that KM doesn’t have same talent but he may not be as comfortable being the bank of KM, and might be more interested in something other than a lifetime contract with the Cardinals… WHO KNOWS!!!
Go Cardinals!

I just want to say I was pretty down on a lot of moves this team has made over the off season and had low expectations coming into the season, but I was all for Murphy when the Cardinals drafted him. I loved it when they drafted him. Heck, I still remember the excerpt I copied and pasted here in the forum showing they got a really good player, here it is. I also remember how I loved how he can hit in the secondary and was very good at separating the ball from the receiver with those hits in the highlights they had of him:
"Washington's Byron Murphy also didn't blaze on the 40 with a 4.55-second time, but he showed in the drills why many people think he's the top guy in the class. He showed great footwork ability to transition on the pedal-and-react and the W drills, but also flashed strong hands every time the ball was in the air. As long as you don't expect him to stay with burners deep, he has everything you want at the position."

Was that Cardinals team even considered "championship caliber" they made the playoffs with a 9-7 record and then just road Larry's coat tails through the playoffs.

Todd Haley got hired as a HC after that campaign. Granted it was a total crap hire, but at the time it was a team the NFL looked up to.
