Seems like this guy excelled in the slot... I still think we see Brandon Williams’s with significant playing time this year in Dime of Nickle... This is year 3 and it’s time for that draft class to stand up or officially sit down.

The Cards have yet to release a player since the Trade for Taylor. 91 on current roster. Who will the "turk" visit? And when?

So: The moves leave nine cornerbacks on the roster. The others, in addition to Taylor and Peterson, are Brandon Williams, Bené Benwikere, Jonathan Moxey, Lou Young III, sixth-round pick Chris Campbell and undrafted free agents Tavierre Thomas and Deatrick Nichols. Not good for a vet like Marcus Williams to lose out to UDFAs.

Probably to give Williams more time to be picked up by another team, since he is a vet?
Cutting down to the final squad will mean lots of players currently contending will be cut as we get into August...
and I'm thinking another 3 to 5 candidates for a CB job will be gone, too as the weeding out process continues.
It's one of the sad realities of the struggle to make it in the NFL that many fall by the wayside.

The yearly sifting of the wheat, to work out the chaff.
Will the Cards keep 5 CBs this year? 6?

I’m amazed that after entering the off-season with no QBs, we still have $14 million in cap space, plus Bradford, Glennon and our QBOF in Rosen, and have added Pugh and a potential legit CB2...two guys who are young enough to stick around a while and fill two big needs. We also drafted a WR who can make an instant impact, an Olinemen who should find his way into the lineup eventually, and a RB who looks like he could be an absolute weapon behind DJ. I’m not sold on Olinemen addition A Smith but we will see. Add a healthy DJ, TJ, and Iupati and I’m not nearly as worried about our offense as I was. How should we spend the $14 million? I say roll it forward to next year for once we have a better idea of our holes, or use on contracts that we’d like to extend.

This money will be very good to have when TC really gets rolling.

Glad to see today that the Cards are still considering signing Breeland despite trading for Taylor.

Glad to see today that the Cards are still considering signing Breeland despite trading for Taylor. Maybe. Read that Rappoport thinks he will go to the Colts. (ref: rotoworld)
As it is still very early in the process, there will be many rumors and possibilities appearing in print...

Rappoport's thoughts on Rotoworld were from three weeks ago. The report on Rotoworld today is saying the Cards may still be considering Breeland.

I wonder if DRC is still in the mix? Within financial constraints, I would hope the Cards are considering everything opposite Peterson. We need as much competition as possible at the position. We've gone too long with too little.
