This from “The Dawgs” Browns site: “Taylor stood out as a competent cornerback in his first season with the Browns. Pro Football Focus ranked Taylor their 19th-best cornerback in 2016, but he slumped some last season while deployed away from the slot in Gregg Williams’ scheme. Ian Wharton, author of the 2017-18 Cornerback Handbook, ranked Taylor as the 38th-best boundary corner.”
He looked good in 2016. In his 2013 draft he was projected a first to second rounder.
Reported we got him for a 2020 6th rounder, and that he is restructuring his contract to come here.
CB2, check.

Seems like a good pickup since he's restructuring his contract. Hopefully Wilks can coach him up to be a solid #2

I think already he is the best #2CB on this team right now, if they trade for him. We dont need a stud at #2CB spot, just someone good enough.

Browns came to him to take pay cut and so Phx was really a natural choice if he was taking less $$ -- good that SK got him on a restructured deal but CB2 still looks like a priority in draft for 2019 unless one of the young guys shows something in training camp. It does appear that Chris Campbell from Penn State is catching Wilks attention but obviously Cards coaches/GM expect the team to be good and don't want to trust a late round pick.

At 2013 NFL Combine, he ran 4.39 40yd and hit 35" in the vertical jump. Some kind of wheels on this guy 5 years ago. Can he do all that now? Dunno.

Well he's signed and only needs to pass his physical.
The other CB FA signings can't be happy about this. But competition is the fuel that forges winners.

Dunno. 4.39 40 dash that year was the 4th best time -- but he also had the 4th best 20 yd shuttle (4.06) which shows good quick change of direction (Honey Badger also performed in top 10 (4.14) in this same event).
