Someone posted earlier that his wife and Watts wife play on the same soccer team Yeah that was me who posted that too. I have the morning off today, and am wasting it googling Cardinals stuff lol. I follow Watt on twitter and I love how into soccer he is. He's always rooting for his wife and complaining about fouls/yellow cards..

I think the JJ Watt pickup cancelled out losing Reddick as far as the comp pick system was concerned. Copy & paste from the article - J.J. Watt (cut by the Texans) and Rodney Hudson (acquired in trade) did not count against the Cardinals in the equation. The losses of Haason Reddick and Kenyan Drake, each of whom might've brought in a sixth-round pick, were offset by the signings of A.J. Green and Matt Prater.

I forgot JJ Watt was a pre-free agency pickup by the Cardinals. That was a huge stroke of luck for the Cardinals.

Yeah he and Goedert were hurting each other. This is also true. It’s high time the Eagles give Goedert an extension and the full time job. Theyve been splitting the receiving TE job, and together this year combine for 33 receptions, 400 yards and 4 TD’s. Our top two TE’s combine for 16 receptions, 193 yards and 1 TD…and that was all Maxx as he’s the only TE on our roster who did anything. Put Goedert and Ertz’s numbers together and they exceed the numbers of Mark Andrews or Travis Kelce for 2021 so far, the top 2 TE’s this season. So what you're saying is we should also pick up Goedert

Now that Zach will not be splitting time, both he and Goedert could see their numbers go up.

Are we allowed to not hate Keim as much? He's been pretty decent lately.

“A” grades across the sports world on this trade. From CBS sports:
Cardinals: A The Cardinals needed a pass-catching tight end if they were serious about contending for the NFC West -- and the Super Bowl. With Maxx Williams being lost for the season (knee), Arizona had just Demetrius Harris and Darrell Daniels as tight ends on their roster. Neither has a catch yet this season, and it was asking too much for either to be a consistent contributor in the offense.
Arizona needed to acquire Ertz, who was splitting snaps with Dallas Goedert in Philadelphia. With Goedert out due to COVID-19 protocols, Ertz had an opportunity to showcase how valuable he can be to an offense as a featured tight end on Thursday, with a touchdown reception and getting open on numerous occasions in Philadelphia's loss to Tampa Bay. Ertz is still one of the best route running tight ends in the game and as sure handed at the position as they come, even at 30 years old.
Ertz won't be asked to be the savior in Arizona, just an added weapon in an offense that already has DeAndre Hopkins, A.J. Green, Christian Kirk, and Rondale Moore as pass catchers. The Cardinals have run '10' personnel -- one RB, four WRs, no TE -- more than anyone, but they figure to get Ertz on the field after making this trade, even in four wide receiver sets if they line him up as a receiver.
Ertz can be the difference between the Cardinals being a "one-and-done" playoff team or going deep in the postseason. He's another excellent veteran to add to that locker room -- and a player they should sign past this season.

I'm pretty sure players are not allowed to suit up for two games in the same week, so don't expect to see him until the Texans game. All they have to do is pass their physicals for the trade is finalized. Nothing says they can’t play two games in a 3 day period. Got to have the playbook down as well so maybe they will run a limited amount of plays with Ertz in this week! Just stated on ESPN that he's not eligible to play Sunday. He's flying to Cleveland to hook up with coaches over the playbook, but that's it. You got my hopes up now I'm sitting here in a corner feeling down and out and dejected. Gonna have to find me a new idol on this board (LOL!).

Bad news is they have excuses because Nick Chubb is out and Kareem Hunt is questionable.
