This is the same concern I have. A group of gimpy lineman on offense, The Cardinals Oline when healthy was not that good as I recall. Just average dudes on any Sunday. Gimpy Olinemen is the natural Cardinals way since about 1975. So, unless COVID wipes out LAR roster, the Cardinals offense should expect a Ram defensive tsunami every play. That's the Rams way for half a decade and counting. This will be the key to the game. How well can Kugler and his offensive line stand up. If they can't, it will be a long day for KM with lots of scrambling. Some times that works, other times not so much. Its doable but we need to keep our fingers crossed.

Rams vs Cardinals a top must watch game next week This should definitely be a nationally broadcast game. There are only 5 undefeated teams in the NFL. This game has two of them. The when you add KM....and you can think what you will about him...but he is as fun to watch. I guess its too early for games to be flexed to Sunday night, but this should be the game of the week.

LA lost depth in FA predraft at LB and after Hollins injury they are thin at LB. They are going to have to have youngsters step up or sign Jamie Collins to play opposite Floyd.
Reeder is the big ILB and K Young is the small fast WLB what one of these two shadows whoever takes over for Hollins. Until they sign another or bring up PS players they have three healthy OLBs total.and one of those is a seventh round rookie from Concordia Cobbers. The edge opposite Floyd needs to be tested all day.

Sadly, because of NFL agreements with broadcast networks, there is no Fox Sports game in the afternoon slot here on the east coast. The NFL cannot change contracts on the fly. Flexible scheduling is available starting with the SF @ ARZ game the next week. That one could be moved to the SNF slot if the Cardinals rout the Rams. We get PIT (1-2) at GB (2-1) on CBS starting at 425pm. PIT gets an F from me for excitement, scoring 50 points in 3 games. GB is better, scoring 68 points, so they get a C+. American advertisers want legendary winner teams. They get that with PIT and GB.

We match up well with the Rams on paper.

Uber tough game. I don’t think we match up well given our deficiencies in pass protection. We have to get to Stafford and make him see ghosts out there. I’m not afraid of their run game at all.
Offensively our line might not hold up against their rush. Which means it might turn into the K1 scramble fest. Our run game might help if Conner can turn back time.

www.therams.com/news/game-recap-rams-colts-week-2-2021Recommend review LAR's first three games for insight into how to beat them at their own game. Score more points. Vs Bears, that was not a fair fight. Easy win for the superior team. Bears were bludgeoned. Vs Colts, the backup QB named Eason throws an INT on just his 2nd pass late in the 4th Qtr to seal the win. The Colts D played well, holding Stafford <300 yards and getting 1 INT. Had Wentz not been hurt in the 4th qtr, the outcome could have been different. Rams got lucky. Vs Bucs, the Rams played extremely well and still only managed a 10-point win over the last SB winner. Rams did not dominate the Bucs overall, but won all 1-on-1 contests, and put up more points.

We match up well with the Rams on paper. They also have a short week to prepare for Seattle on Thursday. This is the classic trap game for them. Coming off a big win and always beat AZ and short week to travel to Seattle. The pressure is on them, Bucs was a very physical game and AZ presents some new challenges for them in the form of spreading the pressure across their LBs and DBs. With Green coming on and Kirk is as efficient as any WR and Nuk who can change any game. Then you add Moore and Edmonds and Conner into the passing game. Last I don’t think the little guys want to see Mad Maxx when he turns upfield with the ball, he isn’t fast but has shown flashes of the physical young Maxx. The D-line edge opposite Floyd should be exploited in the run game and in passing game Conner should be unleashed on Floyd to hit him in pass protection. Instead of letting Floyd have free run at K1 he should be targeted from every angle in pass pro. Take away the number one threat. With his length and speed Floyd was signed to neutralize K1, he is number one threat. Donald is always going to get doubled. Make the others try to stop K1 in space and work the edges of the D-line knowing Donald is going to win in the middle. Attacking this defense requires not getting greedy and taking what they give. Their depth is an issue. K1 at 80% completion rate will put up some big numbers this week. Donald messes up timing of run plays where their is a delayed mesh then hand off so that adjustment needs to be made. It will be interesting to see Hudson and guards vs Donald.
