Arizona Cardinals review of the game vs Tennessee Titans
The Arizona Cardinals came away with a convincing win versus a 2020 playoff team in the Titans. 38-13 was a surprise to yours truly and most of the forum.
1st Away game We shined in their house
2nd Many Key contributors. Chandler Jones had a game of a lifetime for most players. Many others players had great efforts. Marco Wilson, Byron Murphy, Isaiah Simmons and others played extremely well.
3rd Great Play Calling by Coach Kingsbury . There were a few calls and bad time management on the field. He does have to clean that up
PASSING
Kyler Murray 21-32 289 yards 2 TDS I INT
Receiving
DeAndre Hopkins 6 receptions 83 yards 2 TDS
Christian Kirk 5 receptions 70 yards 2 TDS
Rondale Moore 4 receptions 68 yards
AJ Green 2 receptions 25 yards
Rushing
Chase Edmonds 12 carries 63 yards
James Conner 16 carries 53 yards
Kyler Murray 5 carries 20 yards 1 TD
Defense
Chandler Jones had one of the best days ever on defense in a Cardinals uniform. 5 sacks 4 tackles for a loss. 6 tackles overall 2 Forced Fumbles. His personal best in sacks and his is soon to become the All Time Sack Leader for the Cardinals.
Isaiah Simmons. FLCF is starting to feel so vindicated over our 2020 #1 draft pick, All Simmons needed was the game time and not as a substitute player.
Simmons 7 tackles 2 assists 1 Interception. Just a great game by our ILB,. Safety Swiss army knife.
Zaven Collins Had two tackles in the game. 2 -0
Markus Golden Always seems to have a nose for the ball He recovered a fumble
Corey Peters recovered a fumble caused by Chandler Jones
Michael Dogbe Had a nice sack on Tannehill
Marco Wilson great pass breakup and a very hard hit on the tackle.

Excellent pre-game info from FLCF! Every data point will be scrutinized for fun and the next GDT.
I also watched some of the CIN / MIN game today. My quick thoughts: (1) CIN is a much better team than sports media gives them credit for being, and (2) MIN was okay but not good enough to win against an opportunistic CIN O/D/ST that had no quit in their locker room.
What does MIN's surprise OT loss mean to the players as they prepare for a trip to the desert? The loss likely means nothing. MIN is just 0-1. 16 games to go. The MIN players will try to pound ARZ players for 60 minutes next Sunday. ARZ has to pound back harder, like CIN did on every play, in order to prevail and win.
It feels good to say the Cardinals won their season opener against a playoff team (2019/2020). Really good.

Now go out and dominate the Vikings. Shut down their run game, and unleash the monster CJ. Cannot make this a trap game.

Its like I told the Cardinal Rule on his live chat video
Last year the Cardinals had trouble stopping the run,
Against the Titans they stopped the best RB in the NFL.
That is progress.

Cousins is going to be running for his life and he's known to be a fumbler. I think the defense has a chance to have another big game. The Cards offense can make big plays against that Vikings D. This is all predicted of course on the defense again getting good penetration in the trenches when the Vikings try and turn to Cook to help take some of the pressure off Cousins.

Surprised the early line is the Cards only a 4 point favorite. Vikings OL is suspect and their LT Darrisaw was out vs. the Bengals. CJ might be in double digit for the season after 2 games in sacks if he gets to go against the Vikes backup LT this week.

Should be a very similar game plan in Week 2. Stop the run and then get after Cousins.

I suspect they will double or triple team Chandler Jones allowing J J Watt to have a field day against this offense.
