Titans Team news reported as of 6am, August 30th. The Tennessee Titans placed starting center Ben Jones on the Reserve/COVID-19 list, the team announced late Sunday. Jones is the latest in a long list of Titans players and coaches to be placed in COVID-19 protocols since coach Mike Vrabel's positive test for the virus Aug. 22. Tennessee has 10 other people – seven players and three coaches – in the protocols: Vrabel, quarterback Ryan Tannehill, outside linebacker Harold Landry, tight end Geoff Swaim, linebacker Justin March-Lillard, running back Jeremy McNichols, linebacker Nick Dzubnar, wide receiver Racey McMath, wide receivers coach Rob Moore and offensive line assistant Jason Houghtaling. Former Cardinal Center Daniel Munyers may replace Jones. The COVID-19 list is not a big deal for NFL teams this week. Everyone has plenty time to successfully pass through the NFL's protocols. At the mid-point of next week though, it's crunch time. Some guys are going to be surprised by test results and have to sit out games if they don't test negative by strict time deadlines. The Cardinals players are as vulnerable to positive tests as any team. My fingers are crossed hoping the players are using excellent personal, family, and workplace hygiene.

The obvious statement....we need to press them early and score as fast as possible. So easy...I know lol. However, in games where the Titams were behind, Henry didn't have a good game. He usually gets phased out for a pass catching back. That, in turn, hurts their play action. Historically, they are a low volume offense that relies on absurd efficiency in order to score. I do not want to see our corners against Julio or AJ Brown after they bite on a fake run. Tannehill is a pretty decent mobile QB since he used to be a receiver. Hopefully Simmons can help curb that if we send him QB hunting. The battle in the trenches = Godzilla (Zaven) vs Kong (Henry). Of the two Titans, I gave us Godzilla since he's the stronger monster. Zaven is slightly bigger, but I expect at least a few buildings to topple in their epic showdown. Shutbdown the run and apply pressure down the middle. Tannehill = civilian squishy.

Also check out the movie, "Cloverfield Paradox." As the Earth keeps depleting its limited resources and a dreadful energy crisis threatens to plunge the globe into a new dark era of destruction and turmoil, a gleam of hope lies in a small crew of scientists. And then the paradox happens and all hell breaks loose.

Here is the NFL PREVIEW VIDEO That's rough. Not a single person picked us 10 predictors picked the Titans. Why? Their defense is very good. No one picked the Cardinals. Why? 100 years of losing and bias, maybe? If the Cardinals can put points on the board, the game will be worth watching.

As Cardinalsins pointed out, getting a lead is important. This is where the lack of live reps against other teams I feel can hurt us. If they start off slow like they did against KC it could be trouble. We will have no reason to believe it will be better, but I hope I am surprised. I could see them sputtering for a bit at first.
I do not want to have to wait another 9 days, ugh.

Jerome Boger Crew announced as Refs for Titans-Cardinals He is fair. He called two Cardinals games in the last two years. At the last Cardinals game (RAMS/CARDS), his crew tossed just 9 flags.
