Although I am not a fan of hitting the reset button in 13 weeks, if Wilks turns out another pathetic effort game, I can't see any other reaction by Keim/Bidwill.
However, who would be the new head coach candidates should that happen?
Betcher?

Next reset is letting Holcom go after we lose to the 49ers. New DC will be David Merrit or Larry Foote. Maybe Foote can talk Wilks into going back to a true 3-4 or management can demand it or else Wilks goes!

Holcomb and Wilks are tied at the hip. Maybe Wilks needs to do the D play calling instead of Holcomb? But even going back to the hybrid 3-4 we had the past 5 years will take a couple weeks adjustment especially for the new members of the D. Boston and Benwikere in particular. Boston's presence was missed last night. I thought Benwikere was solid except for the PI call.
And as vessely22 has said we could lose to the 9'ers at home next week if the ship is still floundering. Both sides of the ball have to show improvement. Especially the O-line.

Thought the Benwikere flag was a bit "ticky-tack" -- play going into end zone corner that is done over 75% of the time with no flag. Anyway -- some guys on 98.7 just reported several players have come out and informed them how complicated McCoy's offense was and players didn't buy-in. Also DJ is a fantastic athlete and person ... BUT he analyzes whether he is doing something right or wrong and gets down on himself when he makes mistakes. Anyway is was brought up (and I remember this) that CP would sit down with DJ in his breakout 2015 year to make sure what he needed to do on certain plays.
If Leftwich can get the max out of the offenses top 3 talents -- Rosen, Fitz and DJ, then things will get better. HOWEVER Wilks guys - Ray Brown as OL coach and Holcomb as DC are on very hot seats right now IMO. If Leftwich can get the offense moving with a better pass game with involvement of DJ more ... then he'll have a lot of say going forward as to whether the OL coach stays. I threw my program about 10 feet in the air at the game when I saw in the 3rd qtr DJ going in motion and lining up on the slot ... he was 1-on-1 with a LB and caught a 14 yd gain pass where he had 2-3 yds separation against the LB. Heck that has been there all season but the first time all season I saw that offensive set which is I guess what happens when you are looking at 300 plays !!!! They SCRIPT the first dozen plays or so and on the 2nd play guys are confused where to line up forcing a time out ... UGH !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
BTW: Denver radio host on today who stated that McCoy entered the OC job in Denver as if he really was the head coach with basically a stand-offish attitude to input from the head coach.
I've been to the stadium over 100 times and yesterday's apathy in attendance and emptiness of stadium, (many no shows) while 40% of those there were rooting for Denver, was overwhelming.

The cameras showed both MB and Keim in their box late 3rd qtr or early 4th and Both were tightlipped and redfaced. Humiliation stings!!!

No hugging, high fives, or clunking of beer mugs. Just sitting there like statues not making a move and it can’t be because they were stunned. They been watching the same crap for seven weeks.

Loads of great points made. All I can liken it to is over here, if a soccer team doesn't buy in to what the manager wants, you see similar performances were he has 'lost the dressing room'. I have seen alot of similar performances over the years with my team. But anyway, the microscope will be on Holcomb now. He has sort of got away with it so far because the offence has been so bad, but if the O gets going now and we are still giving up points and massive chunk plays, questions will need to be asked.

Yeah I'm all tapped out on the pity party for the defense due to offensive ineptitude and how tired, tired, tired they are! They give up long TD drives after the opening kickoff, for crying out loud. If you want me to join in the pity party make a stop when you're not tired.

Any reset should involve replacing Steve Keim. Do we want to retain the guy responsible for this mess in the first place? He hired Wilks and McCoy.
Bring in a real GM and let him hire his coaching staff.
Nothing is going to improve. We are still going to lose because the defense was arguably as bad as the offense. We are running a 4-3 with 3-4 personnel. We don't have the players to run his 4-3 and the playcalling on defense has been atrocious.

We and the FO will have to be watching the Teams that have made big improvements in those areas of Offense and Defense to note the OC's and DC's. I know the Patriots OC has been mentioned but he is going Nowhere but into the Patriots HC spot once Belichick decides to retire. So forget him.

Just watched the Friday full presser where Wilks says it was his decision alone to fire McCoy. Big turn around from Thursday night presser. And sounded a bit hollow to me. I think someone whispered in his ear......Maybe....

Could be correct in the sense of being told, "Fire McCoy now, or you are both fired." So Wilks made an easy decision - and therefore a half-true statement.

I'm starting to worry about Rosen. At first I thought he looked alright but played awful Thursday night. I just hope he turns out to be the guy
