Here's something new and old: I heard about the Morrison Formation rocks in Utah and the abundant fossils many years ago when I was studying for my Bachelor's of Science degree. On August 11, 2021, Utah published this article (see link) about a huge petrified tree trunk (12' long, 8 tons) that was excavated from the Morrison Formation. The petrified tree is related to today's smaller Norfolk Pine species. Additional fossilized logs were also discovered nearby the Manwell Log. The old fossilized log is evidence of climate change ongoing at least 152 millions years. Thus, I conclude that the humans species must accept climate change and we too will eventually become fossilized.

Specializing in hydrogeology. I did that because Florida did not have much in the way of Petroleum geology. Most people do not know that the Floridan Aquifer is the largest freshwater aquifer in the World.

Climate change has been happening through out Earths history.....( how many ice ages have we had ) and its pretty much unstoppable. Its caused by many things from the tilt of the earth, volcanoes erupting and releasing billions of tons of carbon dioxide to the suns output. The thing is, these changes took 10's of thousands of years to happen. Now man has come into play. Whenever you burn something carbon dioxide is released. The more carbon dioxide in the atmosphere, the warmer it will get from whatever source it comes from. That is a easily provable effect. Up until about 1850, we humans didn't burn that much. As time went on....well we have exponentially burned more and more to the point that its starting to make a difference. You just can't add this much greenhouse gas and expect to to have no effect. As big as the world is, its still a closed system. Believe me, I don't want to get political here but I believe man made climate change is real. Even if you don't believe that, surly you believe the climate is changing. Its not that big of a thing for me. I'm old and other than a few inconveniences I'll be fine.... I won't see the worst. However the younger people may well see catastrophic changes in their lifetime. I hope the world comes together and fights this.

Here's a conspiracy theory to chew on: Scientists invent a deadly COVID-19 virus that continuously mutates. The virus harvests millions of human lives. Eventually, so many humans are killed off that whole continents are depopulated. The world's dramatically reduced greenhouse gas thus saves the planet for ___________ (fill in the blank).

We here in AZ know of such things, and have for a long time. Ever heard of the Petrified Forest in northern AZ? It used to be a big tourist stop when US Rt. 66 was well traveled, but now seems to be largely ignored since Interstate 40 displaced old 66. Most AZ old timers don't put any stock in those who spread ignorance and untruths about climate change being solely due to mankind, and that by changing our ways all will be miraculously resolved. As others have noted, the climate of this earth has been in a state of constant flux from multiple natural and uncontrollable influences since it solidified as a planet, as evidenced by fossilized flora and fauna wherever found.
Politically inspired "educators", "scientists", hacks and hucksters obfuscate and lie when blaming climate changes on humanity. Some smaller amount, yes - but absolutely not all. Natural and uncontrollable forces reign supreme in the constant change of earth's climate.
And lastly, some of us are already considered fossils, so nothing new there!
