I think we need to cut ties with the Rod Graves/Steve Keim era and start anew. I think a GM candidate who I trust would be Kurt Warner. Warner is still competitive and is passionate about the game but doesn't have the time to dedicate to the team as a head coach. However, as a GM I think he could still enjoy being part of the organization and competing. Warner understands football and what it takes to win. Plus, we want an offensive minded guy who will bring in the right head coach and draft in a way to support that vision. The team can always hire someone to manage the cap and contract negotiations but in terms of the draft and signing free agents, I think Warner would be good. Thoughts on this?

I respect KW, GM candidate, I don’t think so. Maybe head of scouting, somehow.. It would be great if he could be involved, in some Important way.

I love KW as a player. That doesn't mean he would be any good as a GM. Would love for him to become the Cards O coordinator and work closely with Rosen.

Not really. He has 7 kids and a foundation. He's too busy.
Get a young bright upstart guy from a good organization that has a history of good drafting. Drafting, not trading, is the lifeblood of a great football team.

Not sure why anyone would think Kurt would be a good GM ?... now if you need a grocery bagger or a guy to get a football down the field.... definitely the right feller...but GM..got reservations bout that

Nice thought but just don’t see it happening for all of the previous poster’s reasons and then some. I agree that SK has to go though.

I think a lot of this is nuts. Coach or GM he has to earn it. Get in and work his way up by proving he can do well at it. All I know of is he was the OC at Desert Mountain High School and that's it. Would love to give him a show me job and go from there.

Kurt is a smart guy and I would have zero issue with him being our GM. He has seen players/coaches at all levels which helps a GM assess talent.

Fast forward a couple years and he is out of the NFL stealing from Best Buy and injecting cocaine.. |

Y'all are kinda miss in the obvious here..#1..Kurt is way to ...honest to play this part and #2 you can tell by looking at him ..he don't eat near enough pizza to hold this position ..oh and he's a Chevy man
