I know I'm not alone, but I'm still on DJ's bandwagon. I can understand why some/many are down on him. But half of his runs are straight the middle, and considering our offensive line....well what do you expect.
The guy needs a little room to perform his magic. I/we have seen many DJ interviews. Did any of them give you the feeling its all about money to him? Sure that could be subjective, but in my view, he was always a class act.
As some have mentioned, maybe he has some kind of nagging injury that hasn't been reported.....I guess that's possible..
But even the most pessimistic has to admit he has not been used correctly.
Look at it another way. Many were high on Chase Edmonds. Has he been lighting up....I don't think so.
As things stand today, no running back is going to excel with this team.

Running DJ up the middle, over and over again, in a smash mouth offense, isn't working and its the height of stupidity to keep trying something that doesn't work.
If your grandfather keeps running your expensive Ferrari into concrete walls do you blame the car?
This is pathetic to watch. Its clear the coaches are not "executing."
State Farm Stadium is hemorrhaging fans and everybody I know will not be renewing their season tickets next year.
The team is a clear example of Promises made NOT being kept.
Bidwill is the owner and he needs to do something. The buck stops on Bidwill's desk.

Or will it still be McCoy's up the middle thru the A gap (right or left, doesn't matter) into the teeth of the Denver D where 4 defenders are waiting for him. 1 vs 4 again? We've seen this for 6 weeks already.David has strong legs but to push 4 Big men down the field for more than 2 -5 yds is superhuman. While also having LB and Safeties taking pot shot along the way. But hey if the "pity party" label makes you all feel better then by all means continue with the derision. Your friend is well known for that. |
