There are two Beatles related documentaries one that has been released and the other will be released later this year.
The Beatles: Get Back - A Sneak Peek from Peter Jackson The film showcases the warmth, camaraderie and creative genius that defined the legacy of the iconic foursome. Shot in January 1969 and compiled from over 60 hours of unseen footage (filmed by Michael Lindsay-Hogg) and more than 150 hours of unheard audio, all of which has been brilliantly restored, “The Beatles: Get Back” is the story of John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison and Ringo Starr as they plan their first live show in over two years and charts the writing and rehearsing of 14 new songs, originally intended for release on an accompanying live album.

First. thanks for your post and links. As you know, I'm a huge fan of the Beatles. I'm going to be particularly interested in "THE BEATLES IN INDIA". That whole thing is still a little sketchy to me. I don't know much about it. Whatever happened there, it did seem to open them up to even more music styles. When it comes to the Beatles. Unless you were alive when they hit big, I don't think most understand just how big they were. Not just musically but as cultural phenomenon. Even today most everyone can recognize and name all four Beatles. How many groups can you say that about. Quick, can you recognize and name all of the Rolling Stones, Aerosmith, or dam near any group......maybe, but probably not. The only group/person that I can think of that comes close to the Beatles would be Elvis Presley. Ironically, both had their share of detractors and even controversy's. For better or worse, both made a huge impact musically and culturally. Since your post is about documentaries I'm going to post a link from the BBC. This is mainly for hardcore Beatle fans, but also for people that enjoy the science ( I'm not sure that's the right word to use ) of writing songs. this aired in 2017Also, and I looked it up....how many songs do the Beatles write? I thought it would be around 100....wrong... apparently, its 229And just a random Beatle song... so many to choose from...

Unfortunately, I don't have Disney+ nor do I plan to get it. There is getting to be so many different streaming services, its getting ridiculas. While Disney+ does seem to have some decent content.....but they all do. Just about everyone of them has a series I would love to see but I can't and won't buy them all. I remember when CBS started their streaming service. The big draw when that started was a brand new Star Trek series. I'm a big Star Trek fan going all the way back to the Captain Kirk days. ( was just a teenager then ) I wanted to subscribe, but in the end I didn't do it. Maybe there will come a time when I start to use some some of these streaming services, but for the time being I refuse to do so. I have to admit, I long for the days where pretty much everything was on 3 networks that you could grab off the air for free. Times have changed and I guess eventually I will have to too....lol. As for now I will have to hope this documentary will show up on one of my cable channels sometime in the future. Thanks to you, I know its out there, so I will be looking for it.

thomas cat I am also torn as to whether or not I should subscribe to Disney+ to see this documentary. We seem to have similar tastes as I am also a big fan of both the original Star Trek series and Star Trek : Next Generation but not the other spin offs. I am not sure why they changed to releasing this only on Disney+ but it was probably another Godfather moment with an offer that they could not refuse.
