I got to admit, I'm getting a little jealous of you guys. Its not often your favorite team makes a strong play off run. I'm not not a Suns fan or even a basketball fan, but I understand your enthusiasm and joy as to how well its going so far. Its got to be good times. Because of all the talk on this board, I even watched the last part of the game before the news came on. I even found myself rooting for them....lol Go...Suns!!!LOL. I am not a basketball fan either although the excitement of the Suns are catching on. DBacks on the other hand have been sucking and I think have lost 15 in a row with 23+ losses in a row on the road. Correction as of today the loss to the Dodgers they have now lost 17 in a row.

The last time I watched 6 Suns games in a row was in 1993, right in the week of my wedding, when I was a 22 year old Bulls fanatic blessed to grow up in Chicago during the Jordan years. I wasn’t rooting for the Suns! Game 5 we watched during our rehearsal dinner, game 6 we were on day 2 of the honeymoon at Second City Comedy Club watching the game with all the comedians on a tv they wheeled up on stage. Imagine watching that game surrounded by snl level comedians cracking jokes all the way through, then Paxton’s final shot, then spilling out onto Michigan avenue with the city going wild, finally heading to honeymoon night 2 at 2am at the Chicago Hilton. I was blessed with a day like that.

I was blessed with a day like that. I became a Suns fan when I moved to AZ as a teenager the year Barkley was traded to the Suns, which was when he won MVP and took the Suns to the finals against those dang MJ era Bulls. I remember that game 6, the Suns ended up tearing out that piece of floor where Paxson sealed the win with that 3 point shot. I was hooked with the Suns ever since. I loved Barkley, as a player of course. KJ, Ainge, Marleje with his big arms lol Oliver Miller I thought could of been a great center if he just lost the weight. My mom loved Elliot Perry or as she loved calling him by his nickname, socks. Danny Manning, Michael Finley, Steve Nash, Marion, Stoudemire, Joe Johnson. Can you believe all 3 were in their prime on the same team? They just couldnt get past the Spurs and the Duncan era. I remember Big Shot Bob thrusting his hip sending Nash to the score board and Stoudemire being suspended. I also remember the year Amare went out with a serious knee injury and Boris Diaw stepping up. So many memories. But then as I mentioned before, ownership ruined this franchise for a long time. Sarver took over as majority owner and it was downhill from there. Bad choice after bad choice. But like the Cardinals ownership, it didnt matter because the Suns made money win or lose. I really miss the Colangelos. They had a winner with the Suns and they brought MLB to Arizona with the dbacks and helped build that team to win a world series. That was another awesome time with the big unit and Curt Schilling. Anyway, getting off topic. Just happy the front office finally said the heck with it and stopped experimenting with cheap PG's and brought in a legitimate guard in CP3. It literally turned this team around in one season. They won 19 games last year, in fact they have won no more than 23 games since Booker was drafted. Let that sink in on how well CP3 has turned this team around. Yes he had help, but he was the missing ingredient to get it started.

Yes he had help, but he was the missing ingredient to get it started. I moved to AZ for grad school at ASU in 1994. My White Sox were good then but the Bulls were clearly going to fade post Jordan and Pip and Rodman, as they had their own terrible GM issues. YOU REALLY NEED TO TREASURE DEEP PLAYOFF RUNS AND CHAMPIONSHIPS, WORLD SERIES AND SUPER BOWLS. You truly will possibly never see another one. The Cardinals we’re pretty new in town. Buddy Ryan was brought in and brought excitement and some legitimacy. I was in school with Plummer and Tillman, and would see Tillman around campus and at the Rec center. An absolute stud who stood out in street clothes and flip flops even more than he did in a football uniform. Got to see the ASU Rose Bowl. Got to watch the Dbacks arrive and tour the stadium when it was still a big hole in the ground as an architecture student, and then got to experience the Big Unit and Schilling and the World Series post 9/11. I had Dbacks tickets the night the Dbacks game was cancelled 9/12 and still have them. Became a Cards fan when Plummer and Tillman became Cardinals. Became a Suns fan during Nash, Marion, Stoudemire and the villainous Spurs battles and losses. Had kids and was able to take my oldest to Cardinals playoff games during the Super Bowl run, got autographs with the kids from Warner, Barkley, Fitz, Boldin and so many others. Have a great photo of my daughter up on Sir Charles’ shoulders when he saw her on the court running around after a charity game at ASU and offered a picture. Incredible Arizona sports memories, and the Suns are making us some more. I treasure it now more than ever.

I remember telling my wife, this is it, this is their only chance to win a SB in my life time. I treasured every minute of it.

My GOD..you cheered when Paxton sunk that 3...I think I hate you....no I'm sure of it..I hate you..lol Haha, beers flew everywhere and the whole club erupted in joy like I’ve never seen. We spilled out onto the streets of Chicago and were some of those people you see on the news in the middle of burning trash cans and hugs and high fives and people jumping up and down on cop cars. We jumped in a cab a while later and the poor foreign cabbie had no idea what was happening. He thought it was the end of the world. Streets were blocked off by crazy crowds of Bulls fans spilling down from the high-rises. He finally pulled over and was crying and he told us sorry, I can not get you to your hotel, please get out. So we got out and partied some more. Funny to think you were probably drowning your misery by then. Hopefully this year we get to share the good side of that feeling!

There is no need to risk CP3 with Kwahi and now Morris out. Let his shoulder keep healing and the rest will keep his legs fresher for the finals.

I disagree, you of course want your star point guard who changed the fortunes of your team in there, no matter what the other team is dealing with. They could always sit him if we had a big lead, and all the guys are fresh from the time off after the last series. My understanding is he was vaccinated and hasn’t been symptomatic. Just positive tests, and the tests are sensitive. It’s an NBA image and liability thing, not a legit health issue, and it may cost us a Championship. What a shame that would be.

I'm not talking about sitting him the entire series. But game 2 makes sense given: 1. Playing at home 2. He's likely still a bit sick 3. Every game off is really 2 days with off days, so that's more covid/shoulder recovery 4. Kawhi is out entire series, unless Clips are dumb enough to risk long term injury like Lakers did. While Booker played well, Clips also shot lights out. I think it will be harder for Clips to repeat that performance on our home court, with Morris out, so IMO, it's worth the risk. We aren't winning a title without CP3, and we have a better shot at beating Bucks if he's 100% and not rushed back. If we can't beat Clips with BOTH Kawhi and Morris out, we don't deserve a shot at title. And this is coming from a long time Suns fan who remembers the pre-Barkley, Tom Chambers days

Sit CP3 one more game even though it is a scam. I think the Suns take this game and get CP3 back for Thursday's game which they will sweep the 2 in L.A. putting them in the finals against the Bucks. Bucks will win in 6 is my prediction against the Hawks not us.
