The Vikings came in averaging 3.3 yards per carry. They gashed us (again) for almost 200 yards and over 7 yards per carry. Is it scheme or talent? I'd say both. I think our run defense on our line is average and our linebackers are below average.
As the season progresses I would say we have 3 young budding stars we can hitch our wagon to: Buddha Baker, Josh Rosen, and Christian Kirk.
Whatever happen to the big preseason Mike Iupati was having. He was in shape and was a beast. He's a FA after this year and don't let the door hit you Mike.
We are wasting the best years of Chandler Jones. Soon his contract will come to 19 million a year and a decision will have to be made if he's worth it. He very well may be.
I said last week I liked Bene Benwikere but he sure got torched Sunday.
I think it's easy to blame the OC on this team but lets be honest. We have a real lack of talent on offense. It's not all on Mike McCoy if you're being honest.
Where was this special teams play when BA was coach?
Chad Williams is approaching bust status.
I saw Brandon Williams on the field.
It's funny we had all those injuries last season and finished 8-8. This year we're pretty healthy relatively speaking yet we by far the worst team in football.
We couldn't punch it in three times from the one. It's pathetic enough but did you notice Larry wasn't on the field? Not sure it's all on that hammy now but I'm sure fans will say it just like the apologist blamed Carson Palmers finger for his playoff meltdown.
It's a short week and I'm sure when the Nation's football fans turn the guide to see who's on Thursday Night Football they will cringe.
The long throws Josh Rosen make where he just floats the ball in there make him real special. You never saw that from John Skelton.
Why is Chase Edmonds not playing more at this point. I want to see what we got.

David Johnson needs to get rid of whatever trash is filling up his head and live up to the contract. I don't care how much he hates the offense and the people responsible for it, if you're carrying the ball don't fumble and if the ball is catchable catch it. Nobody on this side of the message board is going to join the pity party, sport. At least I hope not.
Brandon Williams, the Keim project that just won't die.
I saw JJ Nelson on the field. Why?
Thank goodness for Chandler Jones. And Budda Baker.
The nation will look at Thursday's game and beg for another Jets/Browns game. With any luck the upcoming snooze fest between two horrible teams might serve as a catalyst to get rid of TNF for good. Hey I can dream, can't I?
The Cardinals are working day and night to claim the title of worst team in the NFL but I think the Giants could be worse. Their defense has already quit. Heck, the Raiders could be worse and they have a Supercoach.
Where is TJ Logan?
Mike Bidwill now again faces the curse of having a bad team in a warm weather city with lots of other things to do besides staying indoors and watching bad football. Good luck protecting that nest.

I couldnt see JJ on the field , he must have been turned sideways. I'm one of the few with you on DJ. There's been many great RB's on horrible teams that did great. David Johnson is not living up to his contract. I simply dont see the hunger out there. Yes he is hampered by our coach's but he needs to be accountable for his play.

I have had issue with David ever since he was making all these 2,000 yard claims before 2017 season. I think that TV show got to his head. I had a bad feeling about 2017 and he gets hurt first game. Then he comes back making the same claims about 2,000 yards and holding out for a new contract after getting serious injuries his last two games. I literally took David in EVERY mock draft simulation becuase I happen to be very aware of him at Northern Iowa and I am very disappointed in him now.
Chad Williams showed flashes in one game this year. Can we really judge him, when Fitz has the numbers he has? Whose fault is this? Is Chad not getting open at all? Seems like he will go up and fight for the ball. I do not know the answer, but seeing Fitz low numbers, someone would say he sucks and we all know that isn’t true. Jury is still out for me.
Chandler Jones was very quiet the first two weeks and I was concerned position change and adding weight was affecting him. It does not seem that way any longer, he is ballin.
Chase Edmonds is not playing because Fans, local media and National Media ripped the cards coaching staff to shreds over having him in on 3rd and 2.
I am sick of the coaches press conference literally saying the same things as week one. The issues are the same issues. Watch week 1 after game and watch week 6 after game. It’s the SAME stuff. What have they done to change any of it? Still talking about getting David in space and yet have not done it? Guys out of position. Same nonsense and that is one of the most frustrating things to me.
I think everyone can agree we would rather have Rosen than Stanton and Gabbert. We have David back, they thought they improved the oline. A worse team than this went 8-8 last year. These players have won. These coaches are ruining a decent team.

Oline isn’t getting a push in the run game. OLBs look good...C Jones a stud and Golden looking better. But the Dline and ILBs are killing us with RBs. And Josh’s weapons continue with the drops. These are the repeating issues game to game that need to be fixed with personnel changes. I think these can be largely addressed with next year’s draft and free agency with the money we will have available.
Coaching is another matter. Defense I can understand, as we don’t have the personnel for a 4-3 yet. Offense I see strange play-calling and an inability to run despite having DJ and an inability to do anything on third down. I think a coaching change is required on offense, UNLESS this playcalling is all by design. I wouldn’t understand why, but it may be the case.

Coach Wilks blames D-line and LB issues on players not staying in their gaps, he says they leave their gaps to make tackles.

Steve Wilks - “we need to convert 3rd downs, we need to stop the run, we need to fill the gaps better, we need to tackle better, we need to work on techniques and fundamentals”
These were his week one comments. Sounds awfully familiar to week 6 comments.

I just knew it couldn’t be any worse than Sam and it isn’t.

When I hear Rosen speak I hear a very mature intellectual 21 year old kid who doesn't give stock answers to questions.
When asked if he was encouraged by the 4th quarter offensive surge by the Cards against the Vikings he said in so many words: No the Vikings at that point were not really trying.
Got to love his candor. Yet he wont throw guys under the bus. He's refreshing to the NFL.

Eli Manning is doing horrendous and getting sacked repeatedly. The Giants defense seems to have just given up. Odell is not looking like an elite receiver. I think the Giants suck worse than us. My point?
Saquon Barkley is killing it week to week. Add to that, he is a rookie. If any running back has an excuse to not do good, it would be him. But that is not the case.
There is no excuse for David Johnson to be playing like a mediocre running back. Elite RB's find a way to remain better than mediocre. Just sayin.

They say it's everyone's fault but his. He is limited by the OC no doubt but he's looking like a guy very comfortable with his new found wealth.
