Very few new HC's come in and light it up in their first few games, as it turned out instead of the Sam Bradford that played for the Vikings before he was hurt, Wilks got the 'other' SB that plays himself out of a job. Wilks may step it up and win some games with the help of better play on both sides of the ball. His future as a head coach can't be determined in 5 games, he's not the only one with a hand in running this team, there's the GM and owner that have a say, and the continued drops of catchable balls that could've been the difference in a score or no score.
This was not a playoff bound team without the QB playing at a high level.

I wanted DeFillipo first but once he was gone, I wanted Wilks.
I may have missed with Wilks. I thought he would be a defensive minded head coach sure, but he always seems to play to "not lose the game." instead of winning it.

McCoy for SURE outta here so they can see if Wilks does any better with a new OC...if not Wilks outta here and if Wilks goes there is but one path for the Pizza man.....the end

Wasn't it heavily rumored that he would be taking the job in Minnesota but that he couldn't officially sign anything until the playoffs were over? Maybe I'm remembering things wrong but I just know a lot of people were bummed because they thought we had "missed out" on DeFillippo. |
