.... a team Around him? Keim, outside of DJ, has basically stunk at judging skill players( receivers ), Brown, Nelson, as examples. I think SK has been a bit better judging line play, DJ, Cole, plus great free agent signings like Iupate, Veldeer. Should Keim, with the recent personal hiccup be the guy going forward building a team around this franchise rookie? My answer is yes, but with a furrowed brow. Curious to what you all think.

Y’all are really going to have to hit on these next two drafts TBH.

I don't see why not. Even in the 7-8-1 season the offense was still top 10, hardest part is taken care of w/ Josh. Don't see why he can't put another good supporting cast around him
You obviously have to start with the coach/OC though

Today proved that Rosen can play in this league, he may even be special.
This fact fixes our franchise.
You will see a new level of coaching talent line up with the opportunity to coach a young talented QB.
SK may stay, but our selection of head coaches that follow Wilks will be better options then what he had this past period of hiring a coaching staff.
Enjoy the season, it will set up better days ahead.

I'm no longer sold on SK being able to lead this team any where. Missed way to much on his high draft picks. Niche and Riddick were both misses. Neither one will ever be a star at their position. Humph is an ok LT but he is far from being elite. We all know what happened with Cooper. Everyone says it was the broken leg. Well he has been healthy now for several years, but yet he is still bouncing around from team to team. WE got Rosen and while that might turn out to be a great pick, for just a 3rd rounder we could have had Mahomes. Kid is on fire.
I'm just not sold any longer on SK being able to bring the draft choices in. Way to any mistakes.

Keim has done well overall with FA acquisitions and we have a huge free agency coming up next year with lots of money to spend. The draft will be critical as well, as we will be picking high from what it looks like. Keim needs to get it right or find the people now to help get it right.
WR...see if Larry will stick another year, but we need to find a young WR1. Williams and Kirk show potential but not traditional WR1 potential, and Larry has become a slot receiver anyway. We need the guy who can do it all.
Dline...1st pick in draft IMO. Get a stud who can run block and get to the QB, smash the pocket.
Oline...keep building it. I’ve been happier than expected on one side with Pugh, Humphries and Cole. Upgrade RG and RT.
Take a hard look at whether or not DBuc and Reddick fit in this defense.
Get a stud TE.
Get a kicker.

No. Of course not. Ive been saying that forever. The guy who built this crap team is going to be the one who fixes it? That makes no sense.
The Cardinals have a Suns issue.
Ryan Mcdonough drafted Devin Booker. Cool. Thanks. And what else? His tenure has been the worst era of Suns history. But he got Booker, so he keeps his job forever? Keim got Rosen. Cool. Thanks. Getting Rosen (who we assume is a good player) doesnt save your job. Youve failed all elsehwere.
In fact the worst thing we can do is waste Rosen and David on this front office.

I always get a little sad inside when I see that some people still get worked up over the Suns. I'd rather get worked about about the presence of mayo on my sandwich when I specifically asked that my sandwich be free of mayo. Priorities.
I grew up living and dying by the Suns, now I can't name five guys on the team and can't be bothered to watch The Association. I'm better for it.
Anyway, Keim is a no go for bringing this team back above the scrap heap. He can take his millions and go open a micro brewery somewhere.

If your complaints about the NBA are so strong that its made you cease watching basketball, than you have no justification to continue watching football. Id argue the changes in football have been bigger, and worse, than those in basketball. But I continue to watch both bc i love the Suns and Cardinals. I wont allow the incompetent GMs to permanently ruin something I enjoy

I wont allow the incompetent GMs to permanently ruin something I enjoy I hear you. I quit the Association probably in the mid to late 90s, when the hip thing was to do was get the big guy with the big butt to back in, take the fadeaway jump shot, miss, and we end up with 78-74 brickfests and Bill Walton breathlessly telling me what an awesome game I just watched as the two teams traded bricks down the stretch. Or say a guy like Iverson shooting 12-40 with 10 three pointers and a half dozen free throws, he scored 35! SUPERSTAR! I grew up watching pure shooters like Walter Davis winning games with clutch jumpers. Throw in the Suns multi-decade launch into mediocrity or worse and I just don't see the point.
I do completely agree with you on the NFL going down the sewer. Contrary to any mixed signals I give from ranting on this board the product is in deep decline. I think the roughing the passer rules are the latest disgrace, and that if Rog and his merry band of fellow attorneys don't get that figured out no one's going to care about kneelers. In the meantime, I recommend that the Cardinals coaching staff coach offensive linemen to shove defenders into the QB after the ball is released. Might as well grab a few 15-yard freebies while the NFL "protects the quarterback." Oh and coach Rosen to fall to the ground like he just took a bullet if he feels a hand touch his helmet. Watch film of Roethlisberger in last Monday's game for instructions. Lots of free 15-yarders there for teams willing to coach up their QBs on theater. Make the NFL a flop league like the Association.

So you quit in the 90s so you missed the glorious Nash/Amare/Marion era. Fun fact: The 2000s Suns were what Steve Kerr had in mind for the current Warriors dynasty. He just hadnt perfected it yet (Kerr was Suns team president for a time). That shouldve been us. 2-3 championships. But we just couldnt beat those dang Spurs.

The Suns have excellent young talent Ayton who was the best high school player in the country and he could have been a #1 pick last year. Booker, Josh Jackson, Marquisse Chriss, Mikal Bridges. Dragon Bender still has the potential to be solid but they are very young. They also added Trevor Ariza they are stacking their roster with 3 & D wing players but the West is super competitive and won't get any easier with LeBron with the Lakers but the Suns can be a force within a few years.

He has better shooters and its not even close. Suns had the better engine ( Nash ). The Suns were relying on guys like Raja Bell, Shawn Marion, & Quentin Richardson to drain the 3 ball.. Curry and Thompson and now Kevin Durant can all shoot the lights out any given day. I did hear a pretty good rumor that I believe to be true about the Suns almost getting Steph Curry on draft day. The rumor was that the Suns had a trade package of Amare, Nash and some other pieces for Steph Curry and that Golden State took the bait and was very close to making the trade happen before Donny Nelson got involved and told the Golden State brass that they were making a horrible decision that they would regret for years to come. Well he was right!

Oops. I don't pay much attention to the offseason but I do think they have 2 good draft picks to go with Booker. Hopefully Josh Jackson improves. He had a solid season after the All Star break.
