THIS JUST IN I found it odd and borderline inappropriate that my ears were forced to hear Our very own Steve Wilks do a Local Ford Dealer commercial on the radio. Should we not read In to this? Just heard it at approximately 1pm on 98.7 Sorry if it's old news...its new to me. There's plenty of things that will only induce cringes when a team is floundering under questionable leadership. I don't even have to hear the dealership ad to feel your pain. I remember when the local press couldn't stop talking about the symbolism of Wilks' preseason bricks (actual bricks). As bad as his tacky (borrowed from the worst "team building" corporate event you were ever forced to attend) concept seemed at the time, I couldn't help but chuckle at how much worse it would look in the unlikely event that they couldn't win a game. What a waste of bricks.

If it was San Tan Ford then they are the same people who threw the keys to a $100K truck to Otis Keim to go driving after a solid night of drinking. And pizza.

What a waste of bricks. I quit listening to local radio 12 years ago when I got Sirius. I've since given up on sports talk on Sirius since once Mad Dog ran Dino Costa off his channel, but that's another matter. Anyway, everything you wrote tells me I need have no regrets.

Steve Wilks is in over his head. Sucks but he will likely be the head coach until seasons end. It wouldn't do much good to fire him midway through the season and let his coordinators ( who are equally as bad) run the team. He's just not head coach material. He didnt even try to ice the kicker last night with 3 timeouts left. It's a lame move for sure but at least try and win the game. That 3rd down run WTF? He's a horrible head coach.

Wilks was just on 98.7. He said he was being conservative down the stretch to avoid what happened the week before with a sack getting you out of field goal range. Problem with his theory is even if the Cardinals kick a field goal they left Seattle too much time on the clock. Clearly Wilks is playing not to lose vs. going for the win. Aris, quote ... "Clearly Wilks is playing not to lose vs. going for the win." I said that same exact thing at the bar when DJ was run left on that 3rd down. Chalk it up to a rookie HC judgment error. The mark of a good HC is not repeating the judgment error. We'll see.

I have mixed emotions.... I'm not ready to fire Wilks yet... McCoy is done but we haven't give Wilks a chance. 0-4 sucks but we're close to winning. The defense hasn't been bad when they aren't on the field all day and Rosen looks like he can spark our offense. If our wr's can catch the ball and DJ can run it, we have a solid offense.

We are far removed from "winning". Unless you're talking about a game here and there.

I saw a press conference earlier...took reporters about 8 minutes to actually ask him anything about the negatives, but when they did, all he did was blame players...I am really confused here...I have never been this upset with a coaching staff this soon!!! (and I've been a loyal fan for 40+ years)
