Just reported that Bradford is listed as #3 and will likely be inactive. Looks like they are saving the money.

Glennon is a serviceable backup. He has done the role for years, knows how to run the scout team and if needs be can come in for one or two games and manage the offence. Really don't see a role for Sam going forward, pretty sure he has a no trade clause in his contract, so he either waives that or we cut him after the trade deadline. Going forward I think it will be Rosen/Glennon for this season and likely the next and hope they can stash Kanoff away long enough for him to backup Rosen. That's my guess anyway.
This does make me go back to an old post I made on the old board. I know people hated Stanton, but he would have been ideal to keep around on the roster right now. Carson loved Stanton, said he was like having another coach. He had a wealth of experience and you know if the starter got injured he could win you games. Instead, he is doing that exact same thing in Cleveland and helping develop Baker Mayfield instead.

With Bradford inactive, the countdown to his release begins.
His self destruction in AZ was one of the most startling and uncharacteristic meltdowns of any player in sports history. Hes essentially the QB version of Steve Blass. An all-star baseball pitcher who one day lost the ability to throw a baseball.
As much as I dislike that fat drunk, I dont blame Keim for paying Bradford. Sam was very accurate, very safe with the football. Not a winner, but a solid QB. And moreover, I went to many cards camp practices. Sam looked great. I dont know what happened.

If Rosen also flubs, then its Mccoy. Its definitely Mccoy either way, but we will get a ratio. Is it 50/50 or 60/40. Right now I think its 70% Mccoy and 30% the QB.

He threw to the first WR he looked at . Never went through any progressions. He looked great in training camp because nobody is allowed to hit the QB. That's McCoy's offense you saw in training camp. I'm not saying McCoy is great but Bill Walsh would fail with Sam. He was never interested in anything more then collecting more money. What a fraud.

I thought Bradford could've been a good signing because I'm a homer and I thought he was a good QB when healthy.... I was wrong. He's terrified of getting another injury which could be career ending at this point. He has skill but his heart isn't in it and he's playing for his own health. Hopefully he taught Rosen a few valuable things and we can move on and take the hit we took to the cap (which was big). I don't think Sam will get much of a contract after this. He's proven again that he's nothing more than a backup. Im sure he's fine with that though. He's made more than 90% of NFL players in their career already.

Sam will NEVER step foot in the NFL after the Cards figure out how to get rid of him. That's a GUARANTEE!! He's done ripping off people.

Bradford has shown during his nfl career that he is not a good mentor...ask philly. its a no brainer that glennon be #2 both for $$ reasons and the fact that he will be on team next year. cut sam NOW before he infects rosen. if cards are gonna pay somebody a mil per game to "mentor" rosen why not pay warner? I don't think warner would do it full time but next year thruout otas and training camp...cards should at least give him a call. Jeff.......you are not really calling for Kurt are you ...you seen Kurt lately??...That ship has sailed...8 years ago it sailed and its gone forever not to play-to coach
