As someone whos drafted him in my fantasy league every year for the last 3 years, he is furiously frustrating. Hot cold hot cold.
but he is a good WR. Instantly day 1 the #2 WR on this roster.
I say go for it

Sign him tomorrow. Let him play Sunday. He would be a huge upgrade from JJ Nelson. Not the speed, but he'll catch the ball.

I may not be paying attention but what's th prob with Williams.
Has he dropped easy passes?
Is he even being targeted?
Dynamic is sure to change with Chosen Rosen. I guess I just haven't called for his head yet.

I guess I just haven't called for his head yet. he runs the wrong routes and cant get open. "getting open" is by far the #1 skill of WRs. Some of the best WRs in NFL history were not speedy. Chris Carter, Fitz, Rice, Antonio Brown. They walked into the HOF by being incredible route runners who could get open.

"he runs the wrong routes and cant get open."
Last season he was practically redshirted. This season I have seen him get open a number of times, mainly in the first game against the 'skins, but Bradford just didn't have the arm or accuracy to get the ball there. It was no surprise one of Rosen's first targets in the Bears game was Williams, who ran a nice route and made a nice catch for positive yardage.
I am not saying he is going to be the second coming of Fitz, but I am not willing to write him off. I think now Rosen is in we will see him put up some decent numbers.

What did Chad Williams do wrong exactly? The scrubbed off TD was a great play, you watch it back and if the seahawk DB doesn't knock his trailing leg he keeps that in play. Rosen overthrew him in the RZ (they one where Kirk was by himself in the corner) even Josh said if he wouldn't have overthrown it Chad would have got a TD. And finally for the TD he got himself open and made a nice catch, yeah it was routine for a NFL WR but he still hauled it in.

Kendall Wright led the Bears in receiving last year and is a deep threat ... he is five times better than JJ Nelson.

Yeah as long as Nelson takes up space there's not much to debate. Pin the tail on the WR donkey and it's more likely than not to be an improvement over Nelson.
The bloated alcoholic spouted a couple of weeks ago that he was churning the bottom of the roster, yes sir! OK, Otis, let's see what you came up with.
