The one thing about a bad year, it forces you to look forward.
We should have a bit of cap space along with a top 5 draft for next year.
I say spend on Defense veteran talent to strengthen the front 7 (LB).
Draft a young WR to continue to build a young talented offense around Rosen.

This class of wr's is gonna have some serious talent but I think we need to bring in a vet Wr though and we definitely need to shore up the front 7. We are definitely still needing to shore up the oline as well. I wouldn't mind at all with trading away picks for established talent as well. |

What quality RFA might be out there? Trade a 3 or 4 for a contract? There has to be an extension agreement in place 1st?

Another thought regarding Diche.. I’m not disappointed in his effort, his skills need to be refined.. better though, I’ll give him a pat on the back..

I wouldn't go after anyone 30 and over. Either too beat up or their not that good any more. Next. If we finish with a terrible record what decent free agent would want to come to the Cards ?

Unless there are coaching changes or the coaching staff turns this around drastically I am afraid that the only free agents that will be interested are guys chasing paydays and that is ok if you are bringing in decent established talent. |

Golden Tate will be a FA. He's 31 but still productive. He's not a diva. He's a lot like Fitz. He always plays hard.
I would nab him early.
we are not going to be able to rebuild the WR position just through the draft.

I wouldn’t go after Tate, he’s basically a slot receiver and I’m hoping that Kirk plays that position for a long time.
Assuming he gets through the year without incident, I’d love to see them make Josh Gordon an offer, with plenty of protections built in, of course

Dante Fowler Jr looks like someone who the jags won’t be able to afford, so there’s a good chance he’ll hit the market unless he’s traded. Would be nice to have a good rotation of pass rushers with him, Chandler, Golden and maybe Mayowa. Receiver wise Moncrief and Gordon only ones to really stick out, thankfully this looks to be a good receiver year so if we are picking high we could trade back into the 1st and grab a true no1.

I would nab him early. we are not going to be able to rebuild the WR position just through the draft. He is very productive and a great slot guy but I think he will take away from Kirk. I think we need a guy that can take the top off a defense or a solid big Wr that can go up and take the ball away from the defender. That is what I like about Harry from ASU. He is athletic but also a big wr. I hope the Qb at ASU continues to struggle and he drops to the 2nd round but that is a pipe dream. The kid will probably be taken too late for where we are picking in the first round and unless we trade back in to the first round we will miss on him. We kept Nelson and let Brown walk hmm. Well it might have been a wise choice if he can catch the ball because I think Rosen can buy time to get it to him deep and Bradford was just bad and I am not sure if it was him or the coach although Bradford was not very accurate at all so I guess it's a wash. |
