You had my attention and agreement up to here. After that it just went down the drain..... You act like this was a playoff team. We haven't sniffed the playoffs in 2 years. What Arians did last year with a bad football team was tremendous. We don't have the same personal as last year. We are worse at QB, WR, TE, Linebacker and No. 2 CB. We had two drafts that were an outright disaster and are still carrying dead cap space from our last failed run to a SB. Wilks may or may not be a problem. SK and Bidwill certainly are a problem. There! You said the name. Blame everyone you want but the buck stops on Bidwills desk. Ticket sales are the owners bread and butter. Its how they make a lot of money. As long as State Farm stadium is SOLD OUT there will never be the radical change people want. It will just be more "steady as she goes. Be patient. We're re-loading and will get there soon. Now, did you want to put your $2,000 worth of tickets on Master Card or Visa?" We may go 0-16 and you still won't get significant change as long as the stadium is SOLD OUT. The only thing that will drive real change is loss of significant revenue from an empty stadium. But it will always be packed with fans from the opposing team. So bottom line is, there will never be any real change. But you will get a lot of loud wheel spinning that many will mistake for positive change. We were told that a new stadium was the last ingredient needed in order to product a perennial winning team. People bought into that. I did and had tickets for 10 years before cancelling them at the end of last season. The team has been in a slow spiral down since 2-1-09. We have now reached the bottom. ESPN has rated us as the NFL's #1 bottom feeders. So ask yourself, who really is to blame? Did you like all the Bears fans last weekend? Now enjoy all the hyper obnoxious Sea Hawks fans this Sunday. "Protest the Nest." LOL!

Now that we're at the bottom our new slogan can be "we can only go up from here".

I took a lot of heat on this forum last year when I stated Wilks was the second coming of Mike Singletary. Singletary was promoted to head coach based on his presence and speeches. He was credited for having a "commanding presence" During interviews with the media, he sounded like a man in charge. He was hired on bravado and swagger. He was the disciplinarian that was going to clean up the weak willed regime of Mike Nolan. He was a disaster
When Wilks was hired, the reasons for doing so where the same. "He has a commanding presence" "He captured the room" "He seems like a born leader' "He reminds me of Denzel Washington in Remember the Titans." All trivial reasons and I called it early. I said "Mike Singletary" 2.0 And we are seeing that.
At the end of the season, we need to fire Steve Keim and this coaching staff. There is no reason to keep Wilks just for "we have to give him at least 3 years before we can see if he is any good" Don't start with that argument.
We can learn from the 49ers experience and not only fire Singletary but maybe hire Harbaugh if he becomes available.
Mike got another head coaching gig. He is head coach of the new aaf pro football league Memphis Express they start their season as soon as the Super Bowl is over. XFL comes back the following year.

Where do you get that? Just because I Hope for the best? Am an Optimist vs being a out right pessimist? I've had Multiple posts decrying the Coaching, especially McCoy! I think you like making things up when someone doesn't agree with you. You most certainly like to jump off on tangents when that is the case. AS for the blame game, negative posters point fingers at everyone and everything. It's just who they are. Right or wrong. Finally stop putting words and actions I've not done or said out as fact. They are Not fact but only innuendo and gross misinterpretations/misrepresentations. Which turns into labeling, something another poster loves to do around here.

Harbaugh was my hope and dream pick, especially knowing we needed a QB. But I knew it was a pipe dream and likely too soon for him to entertain coming back to the NFL. Likewise I think it's too soon to talk about canning our new coach. Firing a head coach after just one season or less isn't realistic and would be very irresponsible. Meanwhile I feel really bad for Fitz' at the prospect of going out on a losing season. I hope Rosen will be a storybook success starting this Sunday and surprises everybody!

To answer the question, I think the second owner has hired an incompetent repair and maintenance crew because he (so far) is not able to discern BS from ability.
I went into this in another thread, but Mike's too unprepared, too trusting and too kind-hearted for this business. Eventually he'll learn from being burned (I hope) but so far the lessons have not been absorbed.

First let's get something straight MB is the president of the Cardinals not the owner. Two the guy is ethical and wants a winner and I think he is very capable of holding people accountable and making changes as needed.
The national perception of this coaching staff is very negative and many believe the coaching is the major problem in Arizona if that is what the fans are thinking not to mention many of the talking heads SK/MB have to be 2nd guessing their decisions on the coaching staff or maybe atleast the most important person 2nd guessing is MB.
I think MB does hold people accountable and it really wouldn't surprise me that he might want to go a different direction even from SK as well.

Mike holds people accountable, but does he do it to the degree necessary and within a proper timeframe? I don't know, he would have to be compared to the other owners in the NFL and I have zero clue how to do that. My default move is to compare the Cardinals to the cream of the crop, the teams that are more likely to be in the playoffs than not. What do they do? If the GM in Green Bay is enough to get a DWI in the age of Uber does he get fired or get a six week vacation? If the head coach in Seattle says his special teams coach is awesome while multi-year numbers say otherwise does he call him in for a no-nonsense chat? Same question for the GM, if he goes on a radio show and says his punter that is putting up awful numbers is actually a good punter does he get an earful?
I do wholeheartedly agree that Mike wants a winner and I'd bet he hasn't slept much the past few weeks while his team embarrasses him and the fans. As for Keim, I think he's hanging by a thread. Mike gave him the benefit of the nonexistent doubt after Extreme DUI Summer but I'd bet they aren't chummy anymore, of course assuming they were before.

wilks is no singletary. singletary has a superbowl ring, something wilks will never have. he's also in the hall of fame. the only way wilks ever gets in is if he buys a ticket like the rest of us.

Why are you shouting? I'm sorry. I'm just trying to figure who owns the Cardinals, cause the owners generally call the shots.
